I have visited La Rotonde several times, and each experience has been exceptional. This restaurant has a very special atmosphere that you only find at Le Negresco. The round dining room, with its historical character, playful architectural details and views of the Promenade des Anglais, is truly unique — a space full of elegance, personality and warmth.

The cuisine unmistakably reflects the signature of Virginie Basselot, Meilleur Ouvrier de France — one of the rarest and most prestigious distinctions in French gastronomy — and a Michelin-starred chef. She began her career in some of France’s most renowned establishments, including Hôtel Le Crillon in Paris, and later at the Grand Hôtel in Oslo, where she earned a Michelin star. Since returning to France, she has shaped the culinary identity of Le Negresco with a clear philosophy: precise technique, authentic flavours and a deep respect for regional products. Her cuisine is both powerful and refined, modern yet rooted in tradition — a signature you recognize immediately.

Lost a star in rating as they don’t offer zero alcohol sparkling which nowadays isn’t really acceptable in a 5 star hotel

We celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was high class – every dish was absolutely delicious, and the starter was the best we’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of amazing flavors.

A special mention goes to our waiter, Jeremy – such a heartfelt, kind, and genuine person. His warmth and professionalism made the evening even more special. We would honestly come back just because of him.

This is a truly luxurious hotel, and its continued preservation after over a century is astonishing. The sheer number of exhibits makes it feel like a museum. Although located on the Promenade des Anglais, the layout is well-designed, making it very quiet and private. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. This hotel is undoubtedly a landmark in Nice. It's hands-down the best hotel we've ever stayed in!

The restaurant is very nice and cute.
The food was amazing — everything we tried was delicious. The Steve Molinari fish soup was one of the best dishes we’ve ever had. The portions are generous: we ordered one tasting menu and, for the other person, a starter and a main dish — and we both ended up full.
The staff was very friendly and professional.
We’ll definitely be coming back.

Avocado tartar 3/5 stars - the chef mix the soft and unriped hard avocado so I think that’s not so professional for this top famous hotel

Fish soup- 4/5 stars. Their signature dish but I had much better fish soup. Their coutons were very hard and soup was a bit too salty.

View was nice but can’t say amazing because you see the streets and the cars

Our server Emelie (I hope that’s right) was fabulous! We had a great night. We are from Germany and can’t speak French but we we were all working together to make it work. Thank you Emelie! Food was phantastic. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the drinks very much though they were well crafted but I wish there was one or two more classics on the menu like a proper Daiquiri, a Gimlet or anything like that cause I think it’s perfect for a hot night at the French Riviera.

This is a not miss restaurant in Nice! The staff are just next level amazing and everyone was so helpful for my dairy and gluten allergy. They brought our gluten free bread and even made me a special dessert. Highly recommend!

Travel to Nice and visited here 2 times ! Really love it !!
The food is amazing and same as the service and atmosphere!
Even though second visit the service personnel made some mistakes, but the manager and other personnel immediately came over to apologize and gave us some nice cocktails from the house !!
We tried tasting menu and also tried some a la carte , all are tasty and beautifully presented!
Highly recommended if you are here in town !!
