Good value
Very small room. Beds comfortable. Tiny clean en-suite
Curtain wasn’t quite wide enough for window so night’s sleep disturbed by street lights outside.

I stayed at Hotel de la Fontaine for 3 nights and had such a wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — just a few steps from the beach and the famous Promenade des Anglais, and also close to plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops. It’s ideal if you like exploring Nice on foot.
My room was not huge but very comfortable, spotless, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was clean and modern. Everything felt well cared for and thoughtfully maintained.
The staff were genuinely friendly, always smiling, and happy to help with recommendations or directions. They really made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.
The atmosphere of the whole hotel is peaceful and cozy, a perfect little haven in the city.
For the price and the location, I think it’s excellent value.
I’d definitely stay here again the next time I visit Nice. 🌸

Super comfy, spotless, and perfectly located. We stayed in Room 1 on the ground floor, and it was surprisingly quiet despite the hotel being in a busy, touristy area. The staff are wonderful; helpful without being intrusive. The courtyard with the fountain is a real gem; having our morning coffee there was such a treat. Definitely saving this place for future trips to Nice.

Very nice boutique hotel located close to La Rue Anglais and Old town. Everything was very walkable. Clean well appointed rooms- including updated bathroom with towel warmer. Staff were very friendly and available especially Kurt at the desk. Might suggest reserving an inside facing room because of street noise.

Hotel is located in a wonderful location on a street with many restaurants and shops, and only a few minutes walk to the ocean and promenade. However rooms are tiny and bathroom is miniscule, similar to a ship's cramped quarters. Elevator is the size of a small box, will not fit you and a big suitcase. Staff pleasant but baffled by simple requests such as directions to the train station. House keeping does not do thorough job either. But good for those on a budget who want an excellent location in Nice

We booked a room here and were not street side facing. The room was fairly small but ok. The bed was comfy. However, a strong warning. The walls are paper thin. We can only assume a pretty bad building error. You could hear conversations of next door but worse still, the alarm of the guests next door, so loud, as if we were sharing a room with them. My partner thought my alarm was going off. After a bad night's sleep and informing management and we were told that nothing could be done to compensate us for a VERY expensive room. Sad to say the service was nothing to praise in this situation.

Very quiet, very convenient. Absolutely lovely courtyard for breakfast. I found the beds quite hard but my husband didnt! Will stay again if visiting Nice again!

Close to old town and city center. Very convenient for walking to the beach. Variety of cheese and bakery in the breakfast. Nice coffee. We like our 2 day stay. Highly recommended.

Weve visted Nice quite regularly in the past and this Hotel , although smaller than most weve stayed at- gave us a lovely time, and will definitely be returning. The two male members of staff on reception were second to none. They were so friendly and helpful they are a huge asset to the place. The only downside is that the bedroom was a bit too small, and the tea and coffee making facilities a bit sparce- they don't provide milk so we had to buy some. ( I can't start the day with my tea !)
But all in all, its a great location just behind the seafront, and easy walk into town and good value for money.
