Reviews
The room was clean, although there was a slightly unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Thankfully, it didn’t bother us too much after a while. The restaurant on the terrace/top floor was also fine—neither outstanding nor disappointing.
The main inconvenience we experienced was that smoking was allowed indoors, even though there is a separate terrace where it wouldn’t disturb anyone. This was uncomfortable for us, as we are not used to this anymore due to strict EU regulations. As a result, we had to sit outside on the terrace, but when it started raining, we tried to find a corner where the smell of smoke was less noticeable.
The staff were hardworking, though communication was sometimes difficult because of the language barrier. Breakfast itself was not very good, but the breakfast staff were extremely kind and helpful, which made the experience better.
We would also like to praise the receptionist on duty. My husband had a medical emergency in the middle of the night, and he handled the situation efficiently and professionally.
Overall, the staff were excellent, but certain facilities would benefit from upgrades.
Nice big clean rooms with a modern design aesthetic. Very comfortable bed.
The piano bar on the roof is open till 23:00 and the noise carries so if you want and early night request rooms on the 1st or 2nd floor.
Breakfast is unfortunately not served on the roof terrace but in a rather depressing basement and is a poor selection of low quality stake cakes and pastries and an extremely limited selection of hot food. Pre cooked eggs, rice, hot dog sausages and very low quality chicken nuggets.
Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing. When I checked in at 4 PM, the room was dirty - the floor and table had clearly not been cleaned, and there was dust and dirt visible. I immediately asked the receptionist to have the room cleaned, but was told that housekeeping had already left for the day. This is unacceptable, especially for a check-in time that late.
I also requested a room change due to the condition, but was told the hotel was fully booked. However, when I checked on Booking.com shortly after, I saw a room available (at a higher price), which makes me think they just didn't want to assist.
The housekeeping service was unreliable, and when I addressed the cleanliness issue with one of the staff the next day - especially because we were traveling with a 2-year-old child - I was accused of lying. She insisted she cleaned the room properly, which was clearly not the case.
At checkout, we were accused of losing a towel, even though only two towels were provided for a triple room at check-in. Again, this left a very unpleasant impression.
While the restaurant and bar staff were friendly and professional, the rest of the staff were rude, cold, and unhelpful, even when we tried to approach them politely.
I mentioned all of this to the receptionist, who said he would forward it to management, but no one followed up or offered any solution.
This hotel experience was not worth the price. Cleanliness, basic courtesy, and proper service should be a given — and unfortunately, none of these were met during our stay.
