Disappointing Experience Despite the Beautiful Show

We were really excited to try this restaurant in Tbilisi, especially because it requires a reservation and is known for its traditional performances. Unfortunately, the food was very poor, and the service was even worse.

The biggest issue was our interaction with a man who was not dressed like the regular waiters, he was a heavier-set, bald man who took our order. The menu in English is not very clear, so I pointed to the flavor I wanted, and when he confirmed, I said yes, because of course I don’t understand the dish names in Georgian. He brought something completely different. When I told him it wasn’t what I had ordered, he changed it, but with a very bad attitude.

I honestly feel his attitude changed the moment we ordered a wine that cost only 33 GEL. It seemed like he immediately decided we were being cheap, which is not the case at all, we always leave a generous tip when we receive good service. From that moment on, he treated us with obvious indifference. There were no napkins on the table, and we even felt uncomfortable asking for anything else.

For a restaurant that caters to tourists, they should be more hospitable and understand that communication mistakes can happen. The dish we had to exchange was cold, clearly something taken from the fridge, so replacing it didn’t require cooking anything from scratch. It could have been a simple, kind, two-minute fix.

Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant. The dances and singing were beautiful, but sadly, that was the only good part of the evening.
