We stayed in this family run hotel whilst we were hiking in Bavaria. The room and bathroom was comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The meal we had in the hotel's restaurant was superb. One of the best restaurant meals we've had.
It was the staff though, that made the stay memorable. They were brilliant. We're so glad we stopped there.
The hotel is located in a small, quiet village. When we stayed (July 2025) there were four 7Kwh EV chargers within 100 metres of the hotel.
Would throughly recommend this establishment to friends and family and we will certainly be back next time we are in the area.

Nice rooms and services. Dinner and drinks were excellent. Breakfast was not up to the mark because of less items.

A Wonderful Stay
It was a real pleasure to stay at this gem of a hotel. It's a family run business and they took care to make our stay enjoyable.
The staff were lovely and the room and bathroom was spotlessly clean.
We decided to have a meal in the restaurant one evening and we were delighted at the quality of the meal. It was one of the best restaurant meals we have had in a long time.
The hotel is situated in a small,quiet village. For us, it was perfectly located for hiking the surrounding countryside.
All in all, it was a fantastic stay and I'm really glad we picked this hotel for our Bavarian hiking.

I've been going here since I was a little boy, same goes for my mother. The rooms are amazing and the hotel is huge, the food is delicious (although they still haven't added my preferred wiener schnitzel to the menu) I really recommend the rum steak it's delicious. A car is a must to stay here though, Stiefenhofen is on driving distance from everything around it. The service is amazing too, everyone is kind and fun to converse with. I will definitely come back.

All by ourselves and a wonderful time
It was mid winter and there was no snow in the area, so we were the only guests and didn’t speak German. But the people were so lovely, the place so cozy and nice. The breakfast was delicious options made just for us. On top of all that, they had a mini fridge with drinks and beers you could buy after hours. Overall a wonderful time in an adorable village off the beaten track.

A wonderful hotel located in a small village but only a short drive to Oberstaufen and Lindau.. Staff very helpful, comfortable rooms and delicious food

A very nice Hotel and restaurant with a chilling beer garden. The food is excellent with a wide range of different specialities. The beer garden does not offer a perfect scenic view, but you can see the love for detail as it has so many lovely surprises that you can enjoy your time. Inside the restaurant, you find different thematic and well combined rooms to dine or relax with your friends or family members.
The Hotel rooms are clean and with some charming.
The service is fast and friendly. The spot is easy to reach and in the calm village of Stiefenhofen.

This is a traditional gasthof in a nice village surrounded by gentle and beautiful coyntrside. It is obvious that emphasis is placed on the michelin starred restaurant, disregarding the hotel part. Simple details like the fact that there was no soap in the bathroom other than a few free samples (sachets, not even small bottles), or that a socket was broken.

This country inn is committed to cooking with fresh herbs. The service is quick and friendly. The dishes are of good quality and reasonably priced. The horseradish sauce from boiled beef could have tasted a little more intense. We would come again.
