Alpin & Wellness Resort Hotel Ludwig Royal in Oberstaufen

I can honestly say my stay at Alpin & Wellness Resort Ludwig Royal was one of the best trips I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with stunning views of the mountains everywhere you look. It’s elegant but still warm and welcoming, the kind of place where you immediately feel at home.
What really made the stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. Everyone I met was genuinely kind, friendly, and ready to help in any way. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, whether it was giving tips on local hikes, helping with a last-minute request, or just checking in to see how I was doing. It felt like they really cared about my experience, not just doing a job.
The wellness area was my personal favorite. I spent hours just relaxing in the saunas and pools, letting all the stress melt away. It’s clear that every part of the spa is designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. It was the perfect way to recharge after a day exploring the area.
And the food—wow. Every meal was incredible. Breakfasts were fresh, abundant, and just the right start to the day. Dinners were nothing short of amazing, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You could tell the chefs put their heart into every plate, and the dining staff were just as wonderful, making each meal feel special. I genuinely looked forward to every single one.
Honestly, everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. Between the cozy, beautiful rooms, the amazing wellness facilities, the food, and the staff who truly make you feel cared for, it was hard to leave. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, comfort, and warmth all in one, this is it.

Fantastic little get away with my wife for 2 nights. The location is great, the facilities are really clean and great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

5-Star class of its own. Amazing staff hospitality, beautiful nature scenery, and luxurious lodging. Grateful to so many kind, generous staff who made our healing getaway unforgettable.

Excellent location. Questionable art work in an otherwise beautiful traditional Bavarian hotel. Good breakfast selection. Friendly staff, but no one was informed enough to tell me why their cosy downstairs bar was called ‘Eagles Bar’. Thus staff management could do with more leadership. No disabled rooms available, and no rooms with rails in showers or toilets. Thus not very accessible for elderly/frail member of our family.

Best and cutest staff ever!! I was there with some friends for a wellness-getaway weekend and we were all in awe of this place, and the staff made all of it happen! No request too high or complicated. (We had one vegetarian and a no-gluten vegan.)

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel for 2 nights in spring. A great environment to relax. First of all, the air in Oberstaufen is extremely refreshing and smells nice. Although the room we stayed in was standard, it was very spacious and consisted of a bedroom, a living room and two bathrooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Both rooms had large screen TVs. Also the sofa in the living room was so comfortable you almost didn't want to get up. The hotel offers delicious and varied breakfast and dinner. Additionally, hotel's gym, pool and spa services were top class. We had a good time with the pool and the nearby hiking activities. All the staff, especially manager, were extremely attentive, they showed interest like a family business. Thank you for that. I would like to stay again and recommend it to everyone.
