Hotels with sauna in Oberstdorf

It really feels like a cold sauna plunge tub, which I use it for. There is a small hot tub, which is almost guaranteed to always be fully occupied during the evening

Further, they only do two events per day (at least in the hottest sauna) but they literally just came in, threw the ice in the oven and left without any comments

Good thing, you are allowed to take cheese or sweets from the dinner place to the bar at 21:00. Every day there are different activities, most for free like Marshmello or Sausage BBQ at the fire bowl

The room was spacious, very clean, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day

The food was really good! The buffet offers soooo many delicious things, wow! The spa area consists of 4 saunas, but unfortunately only one is really hot

Breakfast from 7 to noon, Lunch, Afternoon tea and cake in the spa, afternoon Jause (local cold food like cheese, dry sausage etc) but also cake. Dinner Buffet with daily specialties

Best place and staff ever , especially Doris Widera She is the best person I met in 2025 as she was helpful all the time + she help us in our train trip and in all needs during my stay at the hotel

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in a terraced studio at an annex building 2 minutes from the main one. The room was spacious and had a walk-in closet which was extremely handy at the time

The only two things that I missed were a harder (or just newer) mattress and a kettle — the coffee machine came with water boiling functionality but it wasn't that good :) It would be nice to stay in Best Western Plus Hotel Alpenhof once again

Very clean great service. Only drawback is no air conditioning. (US travelers might be shocked by that) Vonya, was exceptional in dining portion. Breakfast was included and really good.

Comfortable bedding/ daily housekeeping first class and good underground parking ( chargeable ) is a bonus. Well organised, well run family hotel with different options for dining area

The large and beautifully designed spa areas, both indoors and outdoors, are a pleasant surprise. The only drawback: when families arrive, it's unclear how to manage noisy hordes of all ages splashing around in the water

The service was outstanding and everyone called you by name! The spas were modern and spacious with loads of relaxation rooms. Fresh air and amazing hiking trails. The owners were always available and welcoming

Everything was perfect: the suite with a big balcony, fantastic breakfast and dinner, peaceful spa area, and above all the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel well taken care of

We were on holiday during a quite warm period, so the lack of AC turned the rooms into a sauna when you didn't open the windows

The Walser app didn't work when we left the hotel, and this was confirmed at reception. We only received the plastic card the following day, and even then, it didn't work

A cozy, comfortable hotel in a quiet location in Tiefenbach, 4 kilometres from Oberstdorf

It would also have been nice to be informed about the free parking lot P2 in Oberstdorf, which we only learned about from other guests

This was a real shame, as it would have been a great opportunity for entertainment and socializing with other hotel guests

We booked 2 rooms directly with the hotel for 3 nights and received confirmation email from hotel. When we check-in, they told us that our booking was cancelled by mistake

Wonderful sauna and wellness area with illuminated pool. The view from the large windows of the sauna on the alpine panorama in the moonlight gives you goosebumps, despite the 90 degrees!!

They provided us 4 Single Rooms for 1st night and Double Rooms for next 2 nights. Nash and a German gentleman on duty when all out to ensure we were comfortable and not stress out by the mistake made by the hotel

Winter sports Excellent location for both cross country & downhill skiiing. Amazing views. Good size pool and excellent sauna. Also, easy walk to town centre shops cafes & restaurants

Wonderful stay! Will definitely return next time we visit Oberstdorf. The rooms were nice and spacious, quiet, and it seemed like the bathroom had been recently redone. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet

I loved the pool and the two saunas. I loved the cleanliness and decor of my room. The front desk staff was really helpful in directing me towards activities I would enjoy as well.

The breakfast which was included in our room was rich and tasty. They had a very good variety of local bread and pastry. We also could charge the Electric Vehicle with newly installed wall boxes

Since we traveled with a dog we asked whether we could take the dog to the dinner. They explained this was not possible in the normal dining room. But they prepared a very nice table in the bar

We visited this hotel during a trip through several places in Oberbayern. The reception was very efficient and friendly. They explained everything and gave us some nice tips

Overall great experience for a fair price. The food in the evening and especially for breakfast was delicious. The rooms could be better and the pool are is a bit older.

Very typical algauer hotel placed in the earth of oberstdorf, twins bed room are nice and big but single bed room are quite small

The food leaves nothing to be desired, something for everyone. And of course he doesn't cook like mom, man should get involved, a different interpretation of the preparation is not worse, just different😏😏

The food is always fresh on request, we always come back Sauna and everything around it is conclusive We always take massages and treatments from Hugo with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon

We were here for a week and we loved it, the people who work here are real people very friendly and not fake friendly, the food is excellent, the rooms are very clean, it's a shame it was only one week.

I found a nice and clean room, the service is nice and tries to ensure that nothing is lacking. It almost doesn't get any better. And of course Corona is also an issue and is implemented very well

The staff was so great and the location is just beautiful. With the Oberstdorf allgäu card parking in town or taking the bus is free. It's a great spot to start taking a hike or a bike ride

Small, fine 4 * S hotel on the edge of the pedestrian zone, 3-5-day arrangements with dine-around incl. 1 * restaurant. Small spa and wellness area, unfortunately because of. Corona restricted.

We've been to Oberstdorf many times, but this was our first time at the Freiberg. Until now, we only knew the excellent restaurant, but this time we also booked the hotel

One of the best Hotel experiences I have had so far! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is the perfect start for hiking trips or simply to relax in the wellness area/pool

Good sauna and swimming pool, but there is not enough jacuzzi and ice water for contrast procedures and relaxation

The room was luxurious, the sauna was great (don't normally get into this very much). Make sure you enjoy the mountains and ride the gondolas when you visit. Also the food is amazing - you wont regret staying here

Everyone was very accommodating, especially when i mangled their language. (They were patient with me) the breakfasts were ample, and we did take advantage of the full board dinners several times during out 7 day stay

The food was delicious, and the beds and rooms were comfortable and spotless. The pol was clean the the lawn sunning area was serene and lush. Walking distance to the Nebelhorn Bahn, and the center of Obertsdorf

The restaurant is beyond praise! Both breakfast and dinner are the best level! Real haute cuisine! For dinner 5 courses - everything is so delicious that it is dangerous to gain weight!

Booked a summer week here to go alpine hiking. The hotel is absolutely fantastic. It's in the middle of the nature, quite a bit away from the city. The staff is really nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed the dinners

It’s also worth to mention that there is no elevator so it might be difficult to carry heavy bags. The parking is available for free and the nearby area is just charming with farms and spectacular views of the Alps
