The Steinbach Hotel is a lovely place with old world charm. Our room was located at the back of the hotel with Mountain Views. There was a large bedroom and a lovely sitting room with two couches and a flat screen TV. The bathroom had double sinks, a stand up shower and heated tile floors. Everything was very clean. We also had a private outdoor patio. Daily breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the dinner buffet one evening. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby has a fireplace and seating to relax with a coffee or cocktail. We arrived to Ruhpolding by train and the hotel provided transportation from the station. We stayed 6 enjoyable nights. I highly recommend the Steinbach Hotel.

very relaxing hotel and friendly service. excellent breakfast. buffet evening meal good but a pricey. lookout for half board deals. enjoyed sitting on the balcony with beautiful views of mountains. nice indoor swimming pool and wellness area. special thanks to Frau Fischer for Qi-gong lesson.

Pleasant accommodating staff. Private parking. Hotel is situated a few hundred metres from the town centre. Comfortable rooms with all modern facilities. Good breakfast. Nice indoor pool with spa area including sauna, steam room and hot tub. No lift for upper floors, might be an issue for elderly or with mobility problems Bar was not open at the time so drinks are simply brought to the table. Dinner was a set menu of choice with main course served from chaffing dishes and starters a self service buffet. It was good value and adequate. repeat staff friendly and helpful

Ein einfach sehr schönes und sauberes Hotel inkl. nettem Personal und reichhaltigem Frühstücksbüfett. Lage auch sehr zentral, 7 Minuten zu Fuß im Ort. 😎

We stayed here at Steibach Hotel for 7 nights.
The hotel is very clean and our room at the front of the hotel was spacious. There was noise from the road but it was ok. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good with a good choice but was the same each day. Our evening meals were very nice although as I vegetarian I was very limited to one choice of main meal.
The swimming pool and wellness centre is lovely and an added bonus, I would recommend this.
The hotel is in an excellent location within a few minutes walk of Ruhpolding and in a great location for accessing local walks. I would recommend a visit to the local tourist information centre for maps and routes.
Overall an excellent hotel and I would recommend it. Hope to return one day.

Very friendly and polite Staff. The brealkfast buffet hat everything you could wish for and had everyday something new to offer. It was great. The swimming pool was also very nice.
At first I thought oh a little old fashion, but not it was very clean and nice and offered different Gymnastic classes.

Great hotel and location. Food and amenities are above average and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Have stayed there 6 times. Loved it every time.

Being a British vedgetarian in the alps of Bravaria I knew that there were would problems with food. However, even though my mother emailed the hotel a week in advance and received a reassuring stating that being a vegetarian would be no problem and that they would have good food for us turned out not to be the case when we arrived. The food was pretty poor in my opinion, apart from the buffet breakfast in the morning and the salad bar in the evening. Almost every night my mother repeated herself in German that we did not eat meat or fish, yet still the staff seemed confused and continued to serve us basic and poor food. We were not impressed. Apart from the food traumas the room was nice enough and we enjoyed trips out.
