We spent a long weekend here in October 2023 and were very happy with our stay.
The hosts are so friendly and accommodating and try to fulfill every wish. They offer numerous tips for excursions and have interesting conversations. The breakfast is small but delicious, and they are happy to prepare scrambled eggs fresh upon request.
Our room was very clean and a good size, with access to a balcony where we could relax.
The lovingly landscaped garden also invited us to spend some pleasant moments, and we were able to enjoy the last rays of sunshine in October – naturally, on the sun loungers.
We arrived with our bicycles, and so that we didn't have to leave them on the car, the hosts offered us the garage. We were able to lock them up there, and everything was perfect.
The value for money is truly excellent.
It's a great starting point for bike tours and hikes and was exactly what we needed for our active days.

This was our second stay. The staff are incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful with excursions and interesting sights. We've always had a very peaceful stay. The breakfast buffet is plentiful; there's definitely something for everyone. The staff is attentive, and nothing is lacking. The rooms and the entire hotel are spotlessly clean. The quality hasn't declined at all. Absolutely nothing to complain about. A 5-minute walk takes you right into town with its restaurants and all sorts of shops. The hotel isn't located directly in the town center, so there's no hustle and bustle or traffic in front of it. You have peace and quiet, and there's always a parking space right in front of the hotel.
We will definitely book our stay there again.

We have never received such a warm welcome at any accommodation!

Our room had a large south-facing balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains.
The guesthouse has a small, private wellness area—the sauna can be used for 2 hours for €9 per person.
In the mornings, we enjoyed a lovingly prepared breakfast buffet with high-quality (organic) products and delicious coffee.
The service was exceptionally good—the rooms were very clean, we received numerous tips for excursions and restaurants, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The free shuttle to Ruhpolding train station is also worth mentioning.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back again!

A family-run hotel, you feel completely comfortable. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, lovingly designed, and the owners are always ready to meet the guests' wishes. Breakfast is especially varied and very delicious.

The stay at the Hotel Steffl was very nice and we felt very comfortable. We had a great time with our one-year-old daughter at the Chiemsee and in the mountains and felt absolutely welcome in the hotel! The quiet location, the beautiful garden and the warm manner of the Steffl family (not to forget the great breakfast and very tasty dinner) delighted us! Thank you 😊!

The hotel is very familiar and very, very friendly and clean. You feel welcome right from the start, you get enough information about excursion destinations and there is a sufficient breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. Inexpensive for Ruhpolding, although I don't know what it looks like when the Biathlon World Cup takes place there. We loved it and will come again. 👍👌

Great view of the mountains and the Church of St. Georg, very nice family hotel with a great breakfast and only a ten-minute walk to the train station. Highly recommended.
