Reviews
Dejlig og smuk hotel, god service m.v.
My experience at Nuhnental was very good. The staff is very attentive. Rooms are cozy and the fact there’s sauna and a swimming pool is a real bonus. All the facilities appeared to be recently renovated. Location is unbeatable.
Hightly reccomended.
The hotel is nice but I had a terrible experience as a customer. I had a reservation from 22/02 until 24/02. I had to arrive late at the hotel due to personal reasons and I had not seen that I had to call in advance so that they can prepare a late arrival. The check-in time limit was 18:00 and I called them around 21:30 to ask if the restaurant was still open, and to my surprise they told me that not only the restaurant was closed, but so was the hotel. They also told me that 1) it was not possible to open it because there was nobody there; 2) I had to find another place to stay that night and 3) it would be out of my own pocket. I told the lady that I had a child with me, and she just said to me: "this is not my problem". After further discussions she was able to provide a room for that night in another hotel just across the street. She also told me that it was not possible to get my original room that night because it had been already sold to somebody else.
What really amazes me is why they did not call me to ask if I was going to arrive late, given that I was not there before 18:00. They simply did nothing and sold my room to another person. If they had not done that, we could make an arrangement to get the keys for the apartment, or even they could have left it hidden somewhere, but of course this was not possible as the room was occupied.
What a way to treat guests in a small village with plenty of free parking available. Had we known, we wouldn't have parked there, but that we had to pay (and the price) wasn't mentioned to us before check-out. About 10€ per night.
I'd have loved to come back there... but no. I never had to pay for parking in the hotel's own spots before in such a small village setting and I'm aghast they didn't tell us beforehand. Unfortunately, my 5 stars turned into 1 due to this deceit.
I have been to many hotels and apartments in my life but have never experienced this.
this is the worst hotel i have ever experienced. the owner/ manager was mean and very rude. You are being scammed in front of you. we arrived and then they had given the apartment I paid extra for to other guests and we had to go through this in a smaller room. they did not want to give appropriate compensation for this after we had driven out 4 and wanted to stay in the apartment we had paid for. after we indicated that we did not like this situation, the owner became very mean and almost sent us into the street without any place to sleep in the evening. we didn't feel nice anymore in the hotel, the room was incredibly dirty and the owner was so mean! the experience is the worst experience I ever had. we finally chose to leave after 1 night because it was so bad and we couldn't enjoy our holiday because of the dirty room and mean owner. we tried to get the money back for the 2 nights we didn't sleep there but the owner refused she has no heart!
finally we got a beautiful room at the hotel across the street HOTEL LIEBESGLÜCK here they were very sweet and saved our holiday a bit after the terrible experience at hotel Nuhnetal
