I did expect the Edelweiss to be top notch, but it is exceeding my expectations. I think mainly due the fabulous relaxed atmosphere mixed with good quality service , amazing amenities and compared to English prices, really not expensive. Loving it.

This is my third visit here and it just gets better and better. Wonderful location, easy to get to either by train from Munich or a short taxi from Salzburg. In summer the bus stops outside and in winter it stops a short walk away in the bottom of the valley. Staff could not be better. They were endlessly patient with my attempts at German and always wanted to make sure we were as comfortable as...

The hotel is a few minutes' drive from Königssee. The terrace faces beautiful snow-capped mountains. You can take great photos without leaving your room. Affordable dinner packages are available. The hotel also offers a swimming pool and sauna, but we arrived too late to enjoy them.
