Dorint Thermenhotel Freiburg in Freiburg

The room was great, the bed was soft, there was a bathtub, a mini-bar, and a coffee machine. I stayed on the first floor with a direct view outside, which was very comfortable for sunbathing in the afternoon. It was very relaxing.

The hotel staff were excellent. Because my English isn't very good, I occasionally used translation software to communicate, and they were always happy to help and welcome me. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to leave today and forgot to tip the two helpful front desk staff. I'll definitely come back next year and the year after, and I hope to meet them again.

Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of Western-style dishes. I especially liked the red and yellow bell peppers and the milk.

Dinner was also delicious. The meat was thick and pure, and the vegetables were very fresh, giving me a nostalgic feeling of eating the unpolluted, natural vegetables I grew myself as a child.

Happy to stay again
Wounderfull food and breakfast buffet. Must have been one of the best i have had in the last 20 stays this year. Fresh fruits with a hole honeycumb and great service. Only thing that i might complain about is not aircon in the rooms. So very warm at night, also the checking didnt go as smooth as it should since they didnt tell me all the things i need to know about how to enter the spa and leave the parkingplace. Also the hotel is missing a EV chager, that would have been nice to have in the future. But overral a great place to stay.

Could be better
Having use of the Thermal Spa makes this hotel stand out but otherwise I thought it was over priced. We did take the cheapest room option but the wall paper was coming off the wall the room was small and without aircon so in this 30 degree weather it was unbearable sadly. )a small fan was provided it just blew hot hair around). I hate hotels that think shower gel & shampoo can come in one bottle , it can’t and for the price I want shampoo and conditioner and shower gel. The coffee machine overflows the coffee cups if you select the large. All picky things but for the money it should feel plush and it didn’t. Staff were exceptionally nice though and well trained.

There is no air conditioning, it's so hot. The breakfast is OK. There are many elderly people who are doing rehabilitation next to us.

Nice property in a quiet location. The crowd was definitely much older than I expected (all grey hair with a lot of canes or walking sticks). I believe that there is a physical therapist located nearby. It did matter. My only complaint was that the room didn’t have AC and it was warm that evening. They provided a fan and it was enough for the heat.

Thermal baths closed
Hotel is excellent. However, we specifically booked at the hotel so that we could go to the thermal bars on the 24th. We arrived at 15:15 and were told that the thermal baths were closed. It did not say this anywhere on the website which we checked before booking at the hotel. We also called to ask if there would be a normal service at the hotel on the 24th. We were told about the special service in the restaurant and agreed to book in the restaurant. We were not told that there would be limited access to the thermal baths. This was extremely disappointing and means we paid for a service that was not available.

Great service and facility surrounded by excellent nature environment. Breakfast is great.
