Upon arrival, there was a note on the front door that we had to check in at another hotel across the street. Worth noting - there was no front desk or front desk area even at this property, unlike what the listing said. We dropped off our bags at Hotel Bayrischer Hof Heidelberg as instructed. When we returned that night to get our bags and check in for the hotel we booked, we were told that we'd been upgraded to that hotel instead. The whole thing was strange but the room was nice. Only issue was that the heat was broken and stuck in the on position. We asked for assistance from the front desk and he ended up breaking the knob. We had to sleep with the windows open all night (it was December) just to survive the heat.

A great location and good services 24 hrs, we have enjoyed our 4 nights and i would recommend anyone to stay. I will surely come again once plan for Milano

A lot of wasted potential.

Positive:

Plenty of electrical outlets, modern furnishings, clean beds and linens

Negative:

- The door lock is broken, so the building is permanently open.

- Mold in the bathroom grout.

Some exterior windows are missing, making it very noisy.

- I don't think the shower head on the ceiling has ever been descaled.

The fixtures, like the lamps, have also never been cleaned.

I'm really not picky about cleanliness and I'm very flexible, but the price and quality just don't match up here. It seems like no one from the main 4-star hotel has ever inspected this place.

The room itself is adequate for a nights stay. We arrived later than check-in so attempted to use the ‘self-check in’ which didn’t work. A resident luckily helped out just before we were to phone for assistance.

I spent two days at the university for a training course – this part of the university is a two-minute walk away. The staff was friendly, but overall, it didn't seem very professional.
The accommodation itself is unfortunately not attractive, and even the large crystal chandelier in the entrance doesn't make up for that (attention to all guests over 1.8m). Everything is very noisy – tram noise from outside, but also noise from other rooms and the stairwell (no elevator). There were still traces of painter's tape hanging in the room itself – the renovation was obviously done very hastily and not very carefully. In the bathroom, the hot water from the shower was very sparse (impossible for overweight people to get in), and the hairdryer didn't work at all.
I didn't take advantage of breakfast or any other meals.

A great little hotel in perfect location near old downtown and Christmas markets. Recently refurbished old building. Great rooms. Only downside is no elevator but staff room I’ll help with luggage!

I booked the hotel for a hiking event. At first, everything seemed fine, but the water in the shower was lukewarm. There was no cleaning service, either, otherwise the water might have been noticed. The heater in the bathroom was broken. So, all in all, it was a disaster.

The location of the Denner hotel was very good. You can walk everywhere. All trams and buses depart from right next to the hotel. Very close to the river. Suddenly you find yourself in the streets with historical houses. There is no elevator. There is a very nice armchair in the room. I wish there was a chair. There is no hair dryer. The room is clean and comfortable. We were very pleased. We will try to come again.
