Hotel am Exerzierplatz in Mannheim

Very small rooms, very stuffy, everywhere is dirty, the kitchen is dirty, cleaned every other time. I had a room on the first floor and this ad, you can’t open the window, the constant noise from the parking lots.

Very small room, unfortunately somewhat carelessly, but with a charm of the 90s. Clean it and the Breakfast buffet is abundant and fresh.
Unfortunately, the Hotel has a bowling alley in the basement - and since the building is very noisy, I have the Pins in the 1. Stick fly belongs to, and the until far after 23 o'clock.

If you are not German I strongly advise against staying in that hotel. Nobody from the staff seems to speak english. This is outrageous. Because of that there was a big problem with check-in and check out. Although reception desk is open from 6 AM there still was a problem to check out at that hour. I was on a business trip for a few days and my reservation was guaranteed with a credit card by my company but that also seemed to be a problem for the guy at reception desk and since nobody spoke english I still don't know why he couldn't charge the credit card (honestly it seemed like he didn't even know how to use the card terminal). The room itself was clean and quiet, but in different building comparing to what they show on their site (literally different building across the street). The breakfast is realy mediocre. No tea and bad coffee. I really don't understand why this hotel has 3.7 rating.

I honesty don’t understand why this hotel has such good ratings. I was there for a business trip and almost everything was horrible. No one there speaks English and that’s quite a problem when you are running a hotel. The check in process was a joke. We had to fill some paperwork and a guy told us to follow him somewhere for some reason while taking a smoke. He was showing us the actual place where you stay - it’s not that place on photos but an entirely different building. He just showed us the building door and left. The rooms itself are ok. Clean and good for few days. Breakfast is really mediocre. There is no tee. Only bad coffee and some juices. I don’t know about the rest of the restaurant but beer is really bad or actually the serving method since we got like 10ml of it and rest of glass was foam. We had to wait like 10 minutes for the lady to pour 2 glasses of foam that was gradually turning into liquid beer every time she added more foam from the tap. Overall I highly recommend not to stay there. Also there was a problem to pay for our stay even though our company provided a credit card details that they had in reservation details in their system. Be aware also that reception is open from 6 and if you have to leave early then you are out of luck.
