It started well with the staff changing our room as the one selected was way too warm.
The location is good, in the center.
The code to enter back to the hotel at night did not work. TWICE. 2 different codes.
We got lucky some guests let us in.
Bathroom are ok. Cleaning ok.

Stay was great. Close to the train station, good sized room, clean, and comfortable.

Usually, the Hotel must be nice, but in summer avoid it! The room was 30°C and there is only a fan in the room, which barely helps. We couldn't get any sleep.
We also had rotten carrots in the fridge and dust all over the bed and the fan.
We complained and the lady said sorry, but no compensation of any kind was offered.
The rest was good and the price is great too. The bed is comfortable and the shower is nice too.

Great location, 2 min from the station. Very friendly people. We had a big, spacious room with comfortable bed. Great value!
Had a minibar, good fridge.
Balcony is a nice extra, but not a great view: just over the city roads. But good for a smoke. Breakfast was delicious, with smoked salmon.

Really lovely spot about two blocks from the main train station -- large rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast buffet!

The hotel is old, suspicions hole in the bathroom. There are bug traps in the corridor and room. My wife and I got bited by bedbugs during our sleep. It ruines the end of our holiday.
The receptionist didnt seem interested when we talkded about the bugs.

Nice place to stay. Close to Mannheim HBF and close to downtown. Very walkable to local scenic spots and landmarks.

A quickie in Mannheim
I needed an economical place for one night for a business trip that was safe, clean, easy walking distance conference center and train station. Only odd thing was that I was housed at Hotel Bismarck, a sister hotel, with no frorewarning despite my explicit email that I would arrive at midnight. I spent 7 hours there and did not partake breakfast due to meeting schedule.

Great food, great service, great prices.
I had the 250g rump steak that was cooked perfectly with a wonderful pomegranate salad with a balsamic dressing washed down with an equally pinot noir.
Only €26 for the steak and salad.
Nothing about this restaurant disappointed.
It is small, so, if you're set on going here, best book ahead as I got the last table when I drifted in off the back of the other Google reviews.

It was completely disgusting place

Middle ages come back, you can go and try, it was like another world. Poor service, rats playing around the hotel (can be documented with video). But if you hate air conditioner its good place - no any air conditioner. This is not 3-star hotel, may be 2 star.

Very rude personal. The worst hotel I have ever seen. Lots of rats and insects. If you’re sensitive to noises in the middle of night, stay away from this place.

Rooms are clean and stuff is very nice. The reason for this 2 star rating is the fact that I received a room different from what I booked on booking. The pictures on booking looked much better than the room that I got. Another issue was the fact that it didn't have a double bed, but twin beds which was annoying. After complaining at the reception I got another room which looked more like the one on booking, but it still didn't have a double bed, but a single larger one. The price that I paid for this hotel is too high from my point of view. Moreover, the breakfast was not included and for 7euro/day I find this very expensive considering the fact that you didn't have a lot of options and it didn't vary from day to day.
