Hotel Kaiserhof Victoria in Bad Kissingen

A well-maintained, venerable hotel currently undergoing careful modernization. An impressive historic winter garden and dining room in the style of the great spa culture. A modern spa center. A World Heritage Site. Situated in the Kurpark and Wandelhalle, it couldn't be more central. We'd be happy to return.

Personally, I think 4 stars is excessive! Excellent facilities and top-notch food are available (which should go without saying in this league), but, as is unfortunately so often the case, the staff's passion is lacking. The friendliness seems a bit artificial and overly eager, not quite genuine, but perhaps these are just high-level complaints...

First and foremost, this is a historic monument. So compromises are required from the very beginning. If you can live with that, you'll find an imperial ambience in a beautiful location next to a stunning, stately foyer. It couldn't be more central. The service is excellent, and the cuisine also accommodated special requests. The wellness center is new and very attractive. Highly recommended!

Huge room with all the amenities you need. Friendly staff.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and restaurant. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with excellent amenities, and the staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming.

Lunch at the restaurant was outstanding—delicious dishes, beautifully presented, and served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-tier hospitality and a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning!

First, let me write about the good and also state that I would gladly return. This is a very nice 4-star hotel. Not a 5, but a good, solid 4. Maybe even 4.5 star. It's extremely well located, extremely well maintained, extremely clean, very helpful staff, a great spa section, a breakfast buffet rarely seen in Germany with a dinner buffet, while not superior, I found to be more than acceptable. It does have a couple of drawbacks though (the bad). We stayed in the garden section and while we had cool rainy weather for the 6 days of our stay allowing us to open the windows, there is no air of any kind (A.C. or fan) in these rooms so we got lucky. It is my understanding however that the main building has A.C. in the rooms, but I could not verify it. You’ll want to check before booking in the warmer months. There is one major problem with this hotel, though, and that is "forced tipping". Everything is charged to your room and there is a section for "Trinkgeld" (tip) just above your signature, and every single person that is involved in the bill is always looking over your shoulder when you sign. Massage, restaurant, bar......... it doesn't matter. They are right there over your shoulder. It's as bad as the United States. I have always despised the tipping culture of the U.S., and it has always been one of the things I've absolutely loved about Germany in that they pay their people a living wage and tips are not expected being that it's part of the price you pay. But here, it feels forced. With these two caveats, I would highly recommend this spa hotel.

Spa, food, staffs kindness - everything is just perfect here. Definitely is a best place I’ve visited in Germany.

Very reasonably priced, outstanding accommodations! If you find yourself anywhere near Bad Bruckenau, Schweinfurt, or Munnerstadt, I HIGHLY recommend staying here. In house dining was phenomenal, and the history of the building alone makes it with visiting. Compared with other popular hotels in the area, this one wins hands-down.

Very central, old fashioned but modern health facilities. Meals and service cannot be beaten
