Gasthof Schwarz offers a truly Bavarian dining experience, from the rustic interior to the hearty menu.
During dinner, we tried the Hohenwarter Teufelstoast – it was decent, though not a standout. The Pommes could’ve been better, but the Lammmedaillons were tender and full of flavor. The Knusperschnitzel von der Pute was also good, and the accompanying Kartoffel-Feldsalat was a real highlight.
Unfortunately, the dessert was a letdown, seemingly made from frozen products and lacking the freshness of the main dishes.
Still, despite the underwhelming sweet ending, the overall atmosphere and quality of the savory dishes make Gasthof Schwarz worth a visit – especially if you're after an authentic local vibe.

A very nice hotel with a wonderful staff, fine rooms, very good breakfast and the hotel is situated within bike distance to the most necessary visit towns like Burghausen, Altötting and Emmering

Pro: The staff is super friendly. It is located next to the river and has pretty views. The breakfast & restaurant are nice. Bathrooms are well-stocked. Cons: I had some issues with payment, because my American card didn’t work, so ended up paying in cash. It is hard to reach without a car / taxi. The room was really hot (stayed in the end of August), and there was no airconditioning or fan. I attended a wedding in the hotel, which was great for the wedding guests, but it would have been very noisy for regular guests.

Frequently changing menu, a good Mix of fancy, down-to-earth, regional and seasonal dishes, always prepared, and if something is not perfect is the staff responds immediately and directly to complaints.
In my opinion the best home-style Restaurant in a large radius.
Recommendation for the onion roast and especially the game dishes.

Spent 2 nights here and found it to be a very pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room is quite standard, nothing special. Is has most things that you need. Cleanliness is not top of the list.
