We ( 3 pers and a medium dog ) travelled in July and wanted to stay uphill
And we wanted the real Tirol feel
We hadn’t quite realized that it was a ski area - the lifts are right outside the door.
But since skiing isn’t our ballgame it was fun to see.
It’s a good place for cyclists and wanderers there are a lot of paths.
Cows can come really close and stay right outside but it’s taken care of according to the cars. Nice parking lot.
Dinner was a little early for our schedule so we only tried it once. It was good.
We loved our room.
Breakfast was continental and really good.
The owners are fantastic. The place is clean and charming. We loved it.
Go see Salzbergwerk Berchtesgarden we highly recommend it. It’s really amazing.

Don't even bother if you're English. Felt very unwelcome by the landlords who huffed and puffed at having to check us in and shouted at us in German for using the toilets. It seemed overpriced for a place in the car park with no facilities, not even water or bins.

Great food in a great location. We stayed in our camper overnight in the car park so don’t know about the rooms but I expect they’d be great too.

Unfortunately I can’t recommend this restaurant. I ordered Aperol Spritz but when I got it, orange inside was old and moldy. After my complaint to the bartender the orange was replaced in front of me instead of replacement of the whole drink. Parts of the mold were floating inside. Nobody cares the drink was left untouched. So I paid it but will never return back. Be careful!

Awesome Camp/Parking Lot. The owners are super friendly.
Simply check in at the restaurant, when you arrive.
During your stay you can use the toilets. Washing and teeth brushing is not allowed at the facilities, which is understandable.
One night stay costs 10€, in return you get a 10€ voucher to redeem at their restaurant, which serves tasty german food. Beer on tab is delicious.
You can also have breakfast there which you have to order a day in advance.
You'll have a nice view of the mountains, watching the sun go down and rise.
The road up to the Götschalm is steep and narrow in parts, but was no big problem for us.
