Communication with the owner is very difficult. Apparently he’s nowhere to find (upon arrival). Place apparently is staffed by 2 Asian (?) ladies and ltd. German/English speaking. Interior/entrance room looks untidy and messy. Despite reservation made long in advance (for 4 rooms) and confirmed and reconfirmed the booked rooms were not available. They had only 1 room left and by 4pm this one room shown left was in disarray (“not yet ready as per the staff ladies..”) The website shown rooms and location pics are deceiving, quite dated and weird looking. Huge dusty building construction site adjacent to this “guesthouse”.

DO NOT BOOK Pension Bergsee! We booked this hotel in March of 2024 for 4 rooms for 4 nights. Two days before our arrival we confirmed with the owner in writing. After driving 5 hours to get there we were told that our rooms were no longer available. The owner could care less and was rude!

The location is excellent, some rooms have lake view. The hotel also has its own parking places.
Breakfast/Service
The Owner and staff is very friendly and you get a Tegernseecard on arrival. The breakfast is good and has everything you need. There is a fridge where you can buy beverages via self service for very good prices (bonus star ;))

Very good location. 100m from the Tegernsee lake. Clean and cozy. Also quiet when you don't have callous tourist-neighbours.

Reasonable Price, very good location directly at the lake. You get Tegerncard on arrival. To bad the bathroom is very small, pillows were smelly. Breakfast was good, you can take many coffees but the buns were not fresh. Overall okay stay, would go there again.
