Lovely hotel in a very nice city

Overall, an “ok” stay- Our hotel room had carpeted floors, which felt unclean and there were wrappers under the bed that hadn’t been vacuumed. The bathroom was clean and the room service was good. We traveled with a small child in a travel crib and both mornings upon wakening we noticed she had been bit overnight on her arms and face- even when we slept with the windows closed! We never saw any bugs or flies but this really soured our experience. The pros of this place include the restaurant and the location, there’s no easier place to stay in town and it’s very convenient. The staff was nice and helpful. The view from the room is beautiful. No air conditioning but there’s a nice fan in each room.

If I had to describe this hotel in one word, it would be AMAZING.
Everything was great! Beautiful rooms, great food and friendly staff!

We just went to the restaurant.
Traditional Bavarian cuisine, as well as grilled meats that are well done, perfectly cooked and well accompanied. No real surprises, the food is quality, the service is fast and the staff is friendly.

It is nice Hotel with very good service, staff is friendly and helpful, and meal was top..delicious. Ambiente is relaxing and beautiful...it is one of place where you want to visit again !

I like this hotel despite its small size. It is located right in the Old Town of Burghausen surrounded by an antique environment and exotic scenery. There are many places worth visting around. The staffs of this hotel are some of the most friendly I had ever experienced in Germany. It doesn't equip aircon but that is perfect for me as I can widely open the window, I am not a fan of AC. What I don't like is its old wooden ceiling from which I clearly heard the sound when the termite eating wood at night.

It follows the unwritten rule of the German hotels: overrated, expensive and old.
The room was clean, but the furniture old and scratched. The mirror was black - the silver layer was gone. Mold in the bathroom. 20 years old (at least!) Sofa in the room.
The cheese at the breakfast was not fresh.
