We felt very comfortable at the Alphotel. It's not super-modern, but it was clean and well-maintained. Highlights were the view of a mountain range from the hotel room (with a balcony and small front garden) and the wonderful terrace where we enjoyed the generous breakfast. Points deducted for the bitter coffee and the lack of a refrigerator in the room. We would stay there again anytime.

We spent one night here during a motorcycle tour. The accommodation was well-maintained and clean, with outdoor parking for the motorcycles. The sauna and pool area are available for use. We couldn't use the restaurant because it was closed on Sundays.

A very nice hotel, but with the service and charm of Russia. If you want to experience Russia, this is the right place. If you want to experience Bavaria, it's better to stay a bit further... Food from a chemical factory, unfriendly and understaffed staff from the Balkans and Russia...

3 star hotel that is hard to find fault with. Simple, I don't like something (carpeting) but it is well-kept, clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. It also has a swimming pool with counter-current swimming and a sauna. Typical and excellent breakfast. However, I did not give the 4 stars it deserved because we had half-board dinner for 3 nights and despite having a nice menu, the meal for the group was at the limits of acceptable. Too bad.

This small, 3-star family hotel features an indoor pool with a sauna and relaxation area. The rooms with balconies are beautiful. The location is perfect for excursions, bike tours, and/or mountain hikes. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly.

We went to Alphotel Ettal as part of our package to see the Passion Play. The hotel itself was quaint - room was cozy, especially the shower, but had everything we needed. Staff were pleasant and professional. Food was ample and surprisingly flavorful (we have found European food a bit bland on our past trips, so we enjoyed the spices). One major downside is our room was right by the construction equipment so our view was unpleasant - so was the noise. Also finding the hotel was tricky using public transportation (we were coming from Munich). If we had had a nicer room, we would have enjoyed our stay much more.

Excellent experience at this hotel, very beautiful, quiet, and warm. Beautiful structure built with lots of beautiful wood, well-finished, and very welcoming, quiet, and warm rooms. The breakfast was very generous, with a wide selection of sweet and savory options. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel just outside the main part of the village. Very polite and friendly staff; pool and sauna available on arrival but we didn’t use. Booked evening meal at time we wanted on arrival also. We were able to order drinks then to take up to our room. We were upgraded to a room with a little balcony which was located overlooking the small street but then over to the mountains. 2nd floor room 204: hotel style bedroom with private bathroom which had a shower, toilet and sink; towels provided; also a hairdryer and shaving mirror. Beds comfy. room warm but ok. Floors carpeted. Evening meal was reasonably priced and delicious, and portions were large. We had soup, salad and Gordon Bleu, beers and wines for around €55. Hotel style and service for good B&B prices. Definitely recommend.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is behind a hill from the busy highway and thus quiet. The staff was also very good. However there were a number of maintenance items, especially in the shower. And you had to slam the door to get it to latch when leaving. Felt like they went cheap when they built it.
