The hotel has an indoor pool, dry sauna, and daily breakfast. The staff were wonderful. The location is also great, near the center of town. The downsides are as follows: the basic rooms are very small and the queen beds are actually two twin beds side-by-side, a small shower that would not accomodate anyone larger in size and the entire bathroom is tiny also, and most importantly for some people is that the wi-fi needs great improvement. Improvement suggestions for the owners: 1. Install refillable shower gel, shampoo,and conditioner stations in the shower area 2. Upgrade the wi-fi (the current system is very spotty and less than 10mbps speed)

Great family run hotel with very central location close to the train station and also the town centre. Extremely clean, cosy Bavarian atmosphere, friendly staff, also the lady gave great recommendations on what to see and do. There’s also a pool and sauna area, garden with views of the mountains to relax in the warmer weather, plus ski room for skis with boot warmer for skiing enthusiasts in winter.

We spent 4 nights at Hotel Roter Hahn. The room was very comfortable and quiet and had a superb view of the Zugspitze. Waking each morning to see the sun rising on the mountain was incredible!!!! The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The walk to the train station was 5 min and to the main street in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was not much further Simply an awesome place to use as a base to explore the region!!!!

I made the mistake of booking the hotel from booking .com where it was not clearly stated that they do not allow families esp they have some issues with children.
All standard hotels allow families but they dont so be very careful that they are not a Standard Hotel but a one with restrictions.
I had to cancel the booking because I was informed of this too late and when I called the guy on the phone, he was so rude as I had committed a crime to book their hotel.
Just based on the booking and reservation experience I give this rating, I have not stayed there as i had no choice but to cancel there so will not rate the rooms etc . Atleast the person on the phone should have the sense to talk politely .
now I´m so glad I didnt stay there.

Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see. The swimming pool was also welcomed with temperatures in the 30 Celsius range during our stay. Would definitely return.

Family driven hotel and with such atmosphere. Excelent location, free parking, very clean. The room we had was simple furnished but you can not complain, everything you need was there. You may see that its best years are gone but still a good place to stay.

Hotel was okay close to the city easy entry and exit for driving. But putting 9€ per person on ur bill without asking actually kinda ripoff especially when you not familiar with local situations.

Wonderful hotel within walking distance from the train station. The beautiful building is full of Bayerisch charm, nice views from the room. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, there is even a small indoor swimming pool. Breakfast buffet has good options. Overall, makes for a great stay at GaPa.
