The location is also excellent for walks through the meadows and to the Partnach Gorge

Lots of facilities we could have used but we were only there for 24 hours. Pool was fab, and a 10 min walk along to some shops and restaurants

Driveway was up a steep hill, but that gave us great views across to the ski jump too. Breakfast buffet was lovely and not too busy despite us going quite late in the serving times

Simply wonderful! The maisonette suites looking out on the lake are equaled by the beautiful views of the city of Garmisch on the other side. Clean, well-run, in an unbeatable location, this is Bavaria at its best!

The room we stayed in had no elevator, so we had to carry all our heavy luggage up ourselves! The view was fantastic, and the service was excellent

During first night of check in, they gave a double bed room instead of 2 single bed, when i tried to change, they gave me another room in block E without elevator

But a few years after coming from the USA, and after Marriott dropped out, we began to notice to notice a dramatic decline in management and overall quality. Staff changed on an almost daily basis, things did not work

The room itself was nice too, but having to haul our bags up to the 4th floor was quite a shock

We have booked for 2 nights, the experience was really great at Mercure, we got enough for what we have paid. It was very hot in Garmisch and the hotel management provided us fan at night so that we can sleep comfortably

This place is right on the way to the Rhine Falls. It can be used as a transit accommodation on the way to the Rhine Falls. There is a parking lot, which is quite large, and the breakfast is very rich.

Overall, it was a good experience and the location is excellent.

The breakfast was good enough to start the day, but the star of the show was definitely the beautiful indoor heated pool. While it's on the expensive side, the price feels justified for the quality of the amenities

The environment is great, located in a small town with all low-rise buildings. Our room was on the first floor and had a balcony-like sitting area where we could see Zugspitze

Its a 450 year old hotel so you don't have air conditioning. But they do give fans. Otherwise it is beautiful. You are living in history. Service is great. The location is amazing!

The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. My only issue throughout our stay was that all of the soaps and lotions at the hotel had some type of nut ingredient in them

My partner has a severe nut allergy and felt quite uncomfortable after finding out soaps and lotions were made from nuts

One of the most lovely hotels I’ve stayed at. The room/terrace was stunning. Perfect central location for hiking and then relaxing after. The spa was so nice, especially the outdoor area (hot tub and heated pool)

Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed one dinner at the hotel restaurant during our three night stay. The pool and spa areas were modern, clean, and very comfortable. Excellent hotel, I strongly recommend staying here

The hotel is not far from the train station, about 10 minutes' walk. I stayed here for one night before going to Zugspitze the next day

Choices of food was more than sufficient, with croissants and rolls, toaster available, smoked salmon, a wide variety of spreads, ham, cheese, fruit juices, vegetables, cereals, milk/skimmed milk/soy milk/oat milk, more than 10 types of tea……

The sitting room was elegant and spacious, which makes you feel calm and at home, with some background soothing music. You can read the papers or choose a book from the shelf there

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the bus/train station: it's a 15 minute walk to the Olympic Stadium (where we hiked) and 15 minute walk to Garmisch (where we ate dinner each night). For us, the location was perfect

We stayed here for a few nights and found it to be a good Hotel. The Staff and Service was first class, and the location was pretty convenient for walking into the Township proper.

This was a wonderful choice for a quiet place to stay in Garmish-Partenkirchen. Phillip, a 3rd generation owner / manager of the hotel was incredibly helpful in many respects and speaks excellent English

Had to provide passports when checking in (very common) and Phillip noticed my wife's birthday was the next day and they arranged a special treat for her. Really a nice and personable touch

What a good and personal Service from breakfast to diner. The room itself was spacious and very well located on the southside of the hotel which granted a panoramisch view on the mountains

Business must be good because I was told in no uncertain terms that I was not allowed to play cards at 5pm with my daughter after ordering a drink. Seems a tad draconian and we voted with our feet and went elsewhere

As far as dining goes, breakfast is included. The kitchen also serves awesome food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served seven days a week. The restaurant is closed otherwise on Sunday and Monday for anything else

The staff was very helpful and friendly only thing was that the choice of breakfast was not as plentiful as we have experience at other German hotels but that may was due to us getting down to breakfast a bit later then other guest

The main area of Garmisch (with shops, restaurants, and a tourist information center) is about a 5- to 7-minute walk away. The area itself is very safe, quiet, and peaceful, with mountain views in every direction

The bathroom was also a good size with more than enough counter and storage space

The kind host also allowed us to store luggage until our bus later in the day -extremely helpful. And the best part was kisses from her dog :). Really great experience, we hope to be back!
