Beautiful location! It snowed the entire time we were there. It felt like we were in a gorgeous snow globe! Rooms were clean. The shining light of the trip was the food. The best meals we have ever eaten. The staff were lovely. The only critique I have is the size of the spa spaces. It seemed crowded and at times, difficult to find a place to sit and relax because all the spaces were taken. I know they offer day passes to people not staying at the hotel. In my opinion, if you are offering spa access to people not staying at the hotel, the spa spaces could be expanded. Overall it was still a wonderful trip and we would return.

Whenever I'm in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, I make a point of heading up to the restaurant at Hotel Das Graseck—it's become one of my favorite rituals. The adventure starts with that charming ride on the Graseck cable car, which glides up through the trees and gives you those first amazing glimpses of the mountains. But what I love even more is descending on foot through the paths that lead down to the Partnachklamm —it's such a scenic way to arrive or leave, walking those trails along the river with the dramatic gorge views, wooden bridges, and tunnels. It's a perfect little hike that makes the whole trip feel special before you even sit down. Once you're there, the place is so elegant and welcoming, with stunning panoramic views over the Alps and the valley that make every meal feel like a treat. The food is always delicious and beautifully prepared—I've had some really standout dishes, and it's run by a talented Portuguese chef who brings a nice touch of creativity to the regional ingredients. The service is top-notch too; the staff are attentive without being over the top, always making sure everything's just right. Whether it's lunch on the terrace with that incredible outlook or a longer dinner, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. I always look forward to it on every trip to Garmisch—definitely worth the short ride up (or the lovely walk down via the gorge paths)!

Incredible and unique setting, which unfolds upon arrival as you take the cable car from the valley below, above the Aqua-blue alpine river, across the treetops and then finally you see the hotel nestled in the trees at the edge of an alpine meadow plateau. It’s a unique location, being a modern hotel amongst classic alpine barns and farmhouses, with the soothing background sound of cowbells chiming in from the hills. Our room had a massive terrace with views to the big peaks to the south, and a massive walk in shower we which found every excuse to use! The rooftop infinity pool at the level of the treetops was like nothing I’ve experienced before. Hotel staff were all incredibly warm and helpful, both at the restaurant which serves up fantastic food, and at reception, where they helped me pick out a hiking route up to Kreujberg, and booked me a taxi back to the train station upon departure. If you want a hotel where every room including your bedroom feels like a spa, fresh mountain air, seclusion and panoramic views then this is a go to hotel. In mid October the colours of the forest were amazing too.

Excellent staff who were always courteous and helpful; excellent dining in a lovely dining room amidst a serene alpine setting. Rooms had gorgeous views although ours had none which was disappointing. Spa with pools and saunas was very European. We did not partake in the medical wellness center but it’s something to consider. The brief gondola ride was smooth and easy to operate. Very peaceful and beautiful holiday!

Das Graseck is located in a unique spot, in between the mountains and right next to the beautiful Partnach Gorge. Taking a cable car to and from the hotel enhances the experience of a private hideout. The Room with a Varanda was perfect, large, with modern facilities and a beautiful view. We enjoyed the daily special dinner, the pool on the second floor with a breathtaking view, but especially the service, besides being polite on every coaction of interaction with the staff, twice we got what I would define as exceptional service, that elevated beyond my expectations. I am not going to mention exactly what they were, but they were in the Restaurant , morning and evening on separate occasions, and evolved at least four staff members. In conclusion, I chose this hotel over 2 other hotels near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, because of its uniqueness, although being mor expensive. It was worth every penny. It left us with an unforgettable memory.

Amazing getaway up in the mountains! The scenery was absolutely stunning. Hotel was very clean and comfortable with lovely views. Restaurant food was very high quality and the staff were impeccable. Had amazing massages and a dip in the rooftop pool. Wonderful all round and would love to come back!

Good overall service. Looking for an Experience in the south of Germany? This is the place to be. Combination of hiking, activities, mountainvieuws, it has it al. For a short stay(1 Day) and late Arriva, the wellness times may be an issue.

The hotel is secluded, accessible by car from the cable car parking lot. Please drive slowly and be mindful of hikers; most hikers will yield. The rooms offer a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, creating a beautiful scenery. The sauna area is well-equipped.
