Hotel Pension Kima in Berlin

The hotel's location in the old West is fantastic. The beds are comfortable. There's heating and hot water. The staff is helpful, but with a few exceptions, they don't speak German. The hotel is housed in several old apartments. If you're lucky, you'll have a room in style; if you're unlucky, you'll end up in a servant's quarters with a makeshift bathroom and a toilet shredder. The rooms are in dire need of renovation. Windows are practically guillotines, and the staff has been using the neighbors' toilets for months! It's astonishing that this is allowed in Germany. One can only hope that the creaking elevator gets inspected by the authorities...

-The building is old and not very practical. Also not very well maintained. The hotel is located in floors 2 and 4 which means you probably have to take the scary elevator which sometimes does not work and also it's extremely uncomfortable to use with big luggage OR you'll have to climb the creaky stairs. The windows in the common areas are nice at least.
-Rooms are simple. Matresses are just ok. They don't make the bed everyday. The bathroom was old and has no amenities. Also takes forever to heat up water for the shower.
-Breakfast buffet is limited. The breakfast area is also kind of cramped so you'll probably have to bother other guests that are sitting to get to your table.
-Wifi is Bad. It keeps disconecting all the time.
-Reception is not 24/7. We met two receptionists during our stay, one of them seemed annoyed that we were there and the other one was snarky.
-The good thing about this place is the location which is really great and probably the main reason why this place still has clients and also why -looking at previous reviews- the owners seem to not care about improving the conditions of their hotel.

If you plan to stay more than one day try to look for some other place, honestly.

I had never seen this before, the hotel was so dirty.
Firstly, the toilet was damage and when we spoke with the assistant, she didn't listen us. They repared the toilet the day before we were leaving. The toilet didn't clean anything that was inside and it did huge noises.
The breakfast was a shame, the assistant was so unfriendly and they don't have microwave. I hope that you don't want to drink hot milk because if you want it, you will have to speak with an angry women. I don't recommend this place not even my enemy.

Lift got stuck twice during our check in. Rooms are very tired. Location is a +5 but quality of the hotel pulls it down to a 2..
