Reviews
When I arrived, the private parking gate was closed, and I had to park my car right in front of it while trying to talk to the reception. This blocked the pedestrian walkway and could have caused legal trouble with the police for illegal parking, a completely unnecessary and stressful situation.
The main reason I booked this hotel was because it said “private parking available” on Booking.com. But at the reception, they told me I needed to book parking separately for €19 per day, even though there was no option for that on Booking.com. I checked again later, and still no such option exists. This is false advertising and completely misleading.
When I tried to cancel the booking because of this, they suddenly offered me a parking spot, again for €19 per night. It was already 9 PM, so I had no choice but to accept it. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
Finding my room was another nightmare. The elevator near the reception only went to rooms starting from 114, while my room was 105. There were no signs or directions anywhere. I had to walk around aimlessly and finally ask reception again, only to be told that my room was in a completely different area with another elevator far away from reception. How can a hotel not even mark directions to rooms properly?
Overall, this hotel caused nothing but frustration. Misleading parking information, poor communication, and zero organization. I will never stay here again and strongly suggest that others avoid this place if you want a peaceful and stress-free stay.
I was more than happy with everything provided and the service I received.
I was unsure about staying in a hostel, but I need not have worried.
I was made to feel very welcome, and would like to say a special thank you in particular to Franco- I found his youthful presence very welcoming, but more than anything, he was very helpful with directions and information of where to eat and visit. As a solo traveller, he was just what I needed to prevent me panicking and getting lost.
I was also given an early check in and upgraded to a bigger room at no cost as soon as I arrived.
Thanks to everyone though - Merry Christmas and a happy New year. I look forward to staying with you again in the future.

Because of the heat, keeping the window closed wasn’t an option, which made resting in the room completely impossible. I asked the reception to change the room or offer any solution, but was told nothing could be done. I was informed that maybe in the following days a change might be possible, but only after the manager returned — and no one knew when that would be.
Late that evening, after consulting with Booking.com, I decided to leave, since the main purpose of a hotel stay — being able to sleep — simply could not be met. Over the following days I contacted Booking.com multiple times to help mediate a refund, but each agent provided conflicting information. I also tried to reach the hostel’s manager in person during my stay in Berlin, but no one was available for four consecutive days.
After returning home, Booking.com informed me that the hostel claimed to have offered me another room, which was an outright lie. I also emailed the hostel directly, but never received a response.
In the end, I paid for accommodation I could not use. The hostel staff were unhelpful and ultimately dishonest. I absolutely do not recommend Acama Hotel — if you get a room facing the street, sleeping is simply impossible, and the staff will do nothing to help.
It astounds me why someone in their wisdom decided setting timer of the bathroom fan to spin fast and loud at 5 in the morning is the good idea. This is definitely a negative.
As well as very soft pillows. I put my head on two, and effectively my head fell into them lying at the mattress level, which itself is quite comfortable.
I paid reasonable price for my three nights, so I'm moderately satisfied. I haven't used food or drink facilities there, so no comment on that aspect.
Comfortable stay, bed was cozy and room was clean. Service was fantastic and the location was incredible. 10/10 would recommend.
