The employees were nice. We got double room, we could choose between two single or one double bed so it was nice. Though in the room there was this weird cigarette smell all the time, the water was cold for whole stay - 2 nights, after more than 5 minutes of letting water run it was warm so it’s not very sustainable. We had in the room also cockroach (one dead, one alive). As for the price it was okay, well connected with the city - metro was nearby, bigger market in front, breakfast affordable and easy, smart tv in the room and it was clean. For the price it was okay but could be better.

I was double charged €10 for a late check out fee, and three months later I am still waiting for a refund. Before leaving the hostel, I spoke with the front desk and was clearly told that I could leave and that the extra charge would definitely be refunded. That refund never happened.

Murat Yilmaz initially handled the case but has since stopped responding to my messages entirely. The amount may be small, but the lack of follow through and communication is extremely disappointing. It’s not about €10, it’s about keeping your word and treating customers fairly.

Very poor customer service and no accountability. I cannot recommend a place that handles issues this way.

I would like to praise the lady who prepares breakfast and greets us with a smile every morning. She is very kind and always tries to make something new each day. Unfortunately, we didn’t have lunch or dinner at the hotel, but I believe the food is just as good. The rooms are quiet and clean, and the service is good. The hotel’s location is excellent, only three metro stops from Alexanderplatz.

One of the best low-cost hostels in Berlin, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the staff keep the common areas. The kitchen has all the basic necessities, and the staff are very friendly and supportive. I would especially like to recognize the kind, friendly, and helpful attitude of Rosa and Andrés.

Last summer, I had the privilege of staying at Pegasus Hostel in Berlin for nearly two weeks with a group of 9th grade students on an educational trip.

From the very beginning of our planning, I was in close contact with the group manager, Vahap. He is truly an exceptional person. Over the course of more than 100 emails exchanged since the start of the year, he assisted us with incredible patience and kindness, helping to shape every detail of our journey. From room allocations and check-in procedures to meals and the use of seminar facilities, his support made our preparation complete.

One of the highlights for our group was the independent seminar room provided by the hostel. It became the heart of our daily program—students gathered there for discussions, reflection times, and even small group presentations. Many of them later shared that this space made the hostel feel not just like accommodation, but like a second home for learning and community.

The hostel’s location could not have been better—both Weberwiese U-Bahn station and Ostbahnhof regional station are just a short walk away, giving us easy access to the entire city.

Every member of the staff, whether at the front desk, in the dining area, or in housekeeping, welcomed us with smiles and a cooperative spirit. Their warmth made us, a group from the other side of the world, feel completely at home. For this, I am deeply grateful.

We stayed in both 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, all furnished with bunk beds. The rooms were spacious enough, with hangers and small desks that made our stay comfortable. Most importantly, we always felt safe. A few years ago, I had an unfortunate experience with theft at a well-known hostel chain in Europe, but at Pegasus I could sense the security and reliability throughout our stay.

The self-service kitchen and laundry facilities were also a huge benefit for a group of our size. Having the option to cook simple meals or do laundry independently made the long stay far more convenient and enjoyable for both teachers and students.

I would gladly return again next year, and I highly recommend Pegasus Hostel to any group or traveler looking for not only a place to stay, but also a place to feel welcomed, supported, and secure in Berlin.

I have been visiting the hostel regularly in December for many years - always with a group of several dozen people to visit Berlin and enjoy the atmosphere of the Christmas markets. It is located in the center, close to Alexanderplatz - several minutes on foot. The area is calm, even quiet. The service was very nice and helpful, always attentive. The rooms are neat, without great comforts, but clean and inviting to rest. Breakfasts offer everything you can expect in the morning - bread, a large selection of additions and drinks to choose from. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

We went to Berlin for an excursion with a group of c. 60history students from Utrecht University. Pegasus Hostel proved to be the excellent choice, because of the good and clean facilities, the good breakfast, and the good contacts we had with the hostel staff, both before and during our stay. I recommend Pegasus Hostel very much, also because of the almost unbeatable price-to-value ratio.

If you haven't had bedbugs yet, you're guaranteed to get them here. My daughter came home from this crappy shop with over 100 bedbug bites. The health department should shut the shop down. And pay a lot of money for it.

A great hostel for the price. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. The room was clean and had all the basic necessities. Shower worked well. Beds were very bad with hard springs, but it was to be expected. Breakfast was adequate with rolls, toppings, eggs and drinks (tea was very dirty). If you are on a city trip and will not be here for the rest of the day, this is a great hostel.

Very nice staff, especially Vahap. Feels very safe and cheerful. Wouldn’t book a cheap hotel if you can also stay here! Price is not the cheapest in the hostel category but that’s just Berlin for you, you also get a clean room and decent utilities for it in return. I’m very sensitive to sound and prone to anxiety and I slept very soundly, which was due to the calm and safe feel and earplugs they provide from a machine downstairs. Would recommend.
