My friend and I stayed at this hostel over New Years until 5th Jan. Overall, it was a good and comfortable stay and we'd come here again.

We booked a double room which had 2 single beds, 2 pedestals, a table and chair, TV, private bathroom/toilet, and clothes cupboard. The hostel provided 1 towel each which I didnt use because I noticed some stains on one of them.

The shower wasn't well designed as the shower floor is raised, which means that the water that goes out of the shower must be dried up with a towel. The shower curtain doesn't do a good job of keeping the water in.

We received free breakfast every morning which consisted of a variety of cereals, yoghurts, toast, rolls, meats, spreads, canned fruit, coffee, tea and juice.

I initially judged the quality of the hostel by the ugly hallways but this wasn't a reflection of the quality of the rooms.

This hostel is very well located to shops and restaurants. The Mehringdamm ubahn is literally at the doorstep of the hostel. This is also a great location to witness the NYE mayhem!

I wouldn't regard this hostel as a social hostel. There is a bar and a lounge but no games. I haven't seen people really coming together in a social setting.

Excellent value for the money. The location is perfect to explore Berlin conveniently, a metro station right in front of the entry with just a few stops to many central sights (e.g. Checkpoint Charly, or Unter den Linden just 2-3 stops away).
Very friendly staff, very simple rooms of course and a nice included breakfast (with an option for lunch packages to go).

I stayed here for 3 nights. There was easy check-in/check out, the staff was nice, and the rooms were very clean. There is even a complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. I enjoyed my stay. There are also a couple of nice Sauna’s to visit next door if that is your cup of tea.

I had a great stay at this hostel! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the staff were helpful throughout my visit. The rooms and common areas were clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the location it was convenient for getting around the city. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend it to other travelers looking for a solid place to stay!

My first time staying in a hostel and it was a great experience. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, lots of variety, personally I would have liked a toaster, rather than just having bread as an option for jam, honey or chocolate spread.
There was some noise from the other guests, I guess it was to be expected seeing as there were a good amount of groups of students but nothing too unbearable.
Fantastic location, felt safe too.

This hostel is best described as functional. It’s not a luxurious stay, but it meets basic needs. However, the staff were noticeably unfriendly—we weren’t greeted even once when passing reception. The hallways had a strong sour smell and were painted in an overwhelming color. The beds were basic but clean. One major issue was the poor sound insulation; we could clearly hear conversations from the hallway. Another drawback was the bathroom design—after showering, water would leak onto the laminate floor because the shower wasn’t level, and there was no additional drain outside the shower area. Breakfast was simple, as expected for the price range. Would not stay again.

Terrible Experience – Not Recommended

I regret not reading the reviews before booking this hostel. My family of 4 (My wife, I and 2 kids) stayed in a private twin room (Room 104) for 6 nights, from 26/12/2024 to 01/01/2025. This was the worst decision and absolutely not worth the money.

Despite calling ahead to confirm the private room would be treated like a hotel room, it WASNOT. Here’s what we faced:

No regular cleaning: I had to beg daily for the room to be cleaned, eventhough we are with kids.

Hygiene issues: Dusty room, dirty bedsheets (we found hair under the blankets), smelly pillows, and broken furniture.

No basic amenities: No shampoo provided; had to ask daily for towels that tiny and not even suitable for kids.

Freezing bathroom: No heater, which made using bathroom unbearable in winter, especially for children.

Breakfast: Poor verity with cold coffee.

Noise & inconvenience: No rules to limit elevator use at night, dirty and uncomfortable beds, and no sense of hygiene.

The worst experience was on 28/12/2024 when I went up to the reception (between 21:50–22:10) to ask for shampoo, towels, and a housekeeper to come in the next day morning. The evening receptionist was rude and unfriendly. She refused to give shampoo and clean towels. She was shouting saying cleaning isn’t done during stays, and that I had signed an agreement accepting hostel conditions. She also said to request cleaning, I should do that request every morning between (10:00–13:00), which disrupting any plans to explore the city.

Berlin is a beautiful city with so much to see and do—
So, DO NOT ruin your trip by staying at this hostel. It’s NOT recommended.

A free breakfast included 7am to 10am included 3 choices of sandwich meats , cheese slices, coffee teas milk, cereal.kilk juice yogurt, fruit cocktail, breads, bun,Butter/Jams. The reception staff were patient and helpfull in giving directions map for subway/ train as I don't speak German. It was quiet albeit it was Christmas eve.

went on a trip to Berlin and was in a room with 8 people, sheets were dirty, the window was broken and the ceiling was broken. Luckily got moved to a new room of 4 with limited space yet the bathroom was bigger. Hallways felt like a hospital ward and it was very hot in summertime. Food was basic and vegetarian options were very poor. Don't travel here if with a students on a school trip, the only good thing was the shop downstairs as the hostel is like 5 floors up so tricky with a suitcase. Literally wanted to leave the whole time!

I do not recommend staying here. Me and my friend paid 331,1€ for 3 nights. Very expensive for this accommodation, at least we had our own bedroom. In the bathroom, we had mould, even when you turn the light on, you are in dark. Breakfast is not so good, very simple. Vegetables are cut in big pieces, only two types of bread. During the night, you hear noise from the hallway. One night at 1 p.m., somebody was knocking on the door. Stuff was unfriendly. Additionally, if you write them an email, you do not get respond, I had written two emails.
