Hotels in Potsdam

We booked the hotel for our wedding night for 2 nights. We wanted to use a sauna and I was wearing a Hijab swimming costume. I was told that we are not allowed to wear clothes or swimming costumes in the sauna.. Only Bikini or naked. Me and my husband were really shocked and turned back to our rooms. This was really degrading and unpleasant.

the shower in the bathroom is leaking. the bed has holes. an extra bed is ok for 1 night. the smell in the corridors is very strong from detergents. the smell of sewage in the room. no more than 3. and we were not in the spa zone. the breakfast is not bad. the waiters take away the plates on time.There is a lot of dust in the room.the toilet just looks awful

Nice hotel, a little outdated, but nothing to complain about. Clean and tidy. Absolutely useless reception staff, no greeting, no friendliness, not even any information on where breakfast was served. The restaurant closed at 9 pm. I find this ridiculous. I then had to wait an hour to find an Uber Eats. Surely another hour of opening isn’t too much to ask for late arrivals is it? The room was clean, spacious, and excellent. While the breakfast selection was limited, everything was delicious, which was very important. Booking a room through Ctrip was actually much more convenient than other international booking apps, especially check-out, which was completed online without any waiting or queuing.

We stayed there for one night, practically passing through, we liked it a lot, there was nothing to complain about at the hotel so far, everything was good, breakfast was also more than good, the location is almost perfect, right on the lake and many things can be reached within a radius of about 30 kilometers, I could imagine booking this hotel again for 4-5 days with bikes.

Despite the 10mins long walk on main road to the hotel (they do provide sign to guide you), I really enjoyed my stay that is away from the city. The hotel is very well maintained and has a top location near Sans Soussi park! The room is clean but the cleaning service is only carried out if you announce it the day before! The room also had a peculiar faint smell if you came in. The breakfast is really nice and the personnel very kind. I booked a room at your hotel early this Christmas morning, but due to a system error, there was a double booking, which could have resulted in me being charged double. I called your hotel & in just a couple of mins the problem was completely solved...

Everything was good but, for some reason, they took my toothbrush and toothpaste. After inquiring, they returned my toothbrush but kept my (medicated) toothpaste. Whatever.

Just one criticism, which may only apply to certain rooms. There was very little privacy with regard to the bathroom, just clear glass between you and the rest of the room. This was certainly an issue for my teenage children. The toilet could do with a wooden door, again to provide some level of privacy.

The hotel was good, not super clean and without amenities but great location. Extra charge for breakfast was super expensive

Stayed for 2 nights. Great location, walking distance to almost everything. Decent room nothing too special but clean and comfortable. The 2 gentlemen at reception were very nice and helpful (don’t remember the names but the one I believe was Coskun?). Should add that there was no mini fridge in my room which was a surprise.

The rooms are bit dated but from desk lady was super nice and breakfast was so amazing.

We had selected a single king-size bed through booking, but they gave us two beds touching each other. When I asked, they said all the king-size beds at the hotel are single beds pushed together to form a big bed.

Everything you need is in the room( even a portable make up mirror you can use with your preferred lighting 😉). The staff were very helpful. I even left my suitcase at the reception while I visited the city. And it’s literally 4min walk from the central station. I would definitely recommend!!

It would be excellent if tenants could have a kettle for boiling water in the hotel rooms, to boil water in the cold winter, for drinking coffee or tea packages to warm up ourselves in the cold harsh winter, when all restaurants are closed at night. Also a washing machine facility to wash our clothes.

The parking lot has very limited parking spots with a charge of 8 euros per night . The room is big for its price , comfy and clean  . Free sparkling water bottle in room . The elevator was broken when we stayed there . Had to carry suitcases via stairs up and down .

The rooms are about the same size, but there are too many beds, which take up a lot of space. There is no kettle in the room. To boil water, you have to go to the front desk to borrow water instead of the kettle, which they don't lend. The breakfast was not as rich as described online.

No room air condition!!! Not mentioned while booking...very hot in the room... No kettle and coffee in room.... Internal entry yard noisy all night and cigarettes smoking enters your room! Location is great but not for a summer holiday....

The best place with very friendly staff. Absolutely well maintained rooms. There are even smoking rooms on request. Also worth mentioning is the rich breakfast buffet, where every guest will be happy! We will be happy to come back.

It is an interesting location when you plan to visit Potsdam. Unfortunately the quick connection ti city center of Potsdam via water taxi is not running anymore. So you need to be prepared to cycle or to take your car to get of this little island. The Interieur and set up of this hotel is a little bit out dated and serves its purpose.

Lovely hotel, good location, friendly staff, very clean and I believe is the best in Potsdam. Areas of improvement are: they need to install a ramp for luggage arrival and departure. The steps are challenging with heavy luggage. No bellman to help either. Don't Miss This One! This is true gem situated in the best possible part of Potsdam...right across from the Old Town but away from the noise. The hotel is impeccable. I travel almost 100 nights per year and this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. From the attentive staff to the delicious breakfast to the beautifully appointed rooms - this is a 10/10.

A beautiful Art Nouveau house in a quiet neighborhood. The building itself houses the private eye clinic of the couple who run it, a pharmacy, a traditional restaurant, and a café. The rooms are antique-style and very clean. The white marble bathroom includes a shower and a whirlpool tub. Breakfast has everything you could need. The staff are all very, very friendly. I would gladly come back!

We booked last minute; probably got the less nice rooms. Appeared to be above the pub-like reception and breakfast room. Quite dated decor, noisy and we could smell the cigarette smell from the outside seating below. No dinner/food options other than the breakfast. Overall not really all that cheap either - wouldnt book there again.

Rooms are big but older a bit. The service is fast and pro, the breakfast is delicious and many things are available.

Good value for money Basic, functional setup of the rooms. Single bed was comfortable, sheets where crisp and clean. Bathroom was also generally clean, with some slightly discoloured grout lines in the shower. Carpets worn, and the hallway was a maze. Breakfast buffet was varied and enjoyable. Overall, I was quite happy with the value for money and would stay here again.

Parking was not friendly and easy to miss if don’t pay attention. Room didn’t have microwave and refrigerator was very small that can hardly put leftover in it or extra drinking water.

We used this as a base for our trip to Berlin and was out all day so didn't use any hotel facilities. You have to catch a tram to Potsdam across the road from the hotel and then a train to the centre of Berlin about every 10 minutes. There are shops opposites including a supermarket

Located in the Drewitz district, it's conveniently close to the motorway and offers excellent tram connections (trams run every 10 minutes). The rooms are very spacious, even if they aren't the most contemporary in style. Daily housekeeping is still provided here. Breakfast is excellent and offers everything you could wish for. The service is also very good. The restaurant 'Journal' is highly recommended...

Met out expectations. The location the hostel is build at is not trying to win a beauty award, but the connection towards Berlin and the inner city of Potsdam is great. Also through the night Trams are available. The rooms are large and even got an hair dryer. Only the pillows lack in comfort. The crew is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hostel!

We stayed as a stop on a long return journey - a great opportunity to visit the famous Potsdam castles/palaces in Park Sanssouci! Rooms are neat and clean and relatively modern. It was ok property, but they gave me the closest room to the lobby on the ground floor, and it was really noisy, like I could hear every conversation, which was very bothersome.

It was perfectly located for my business trip (at Potsdam University) and the main building seemed fabulous. I was super excited to stay there with all its big glass windows and beautiful river location…unfortunately despite the fact I got a suite, they put me in the boring building with no view across the street (see photos for the two buildings)
