It seems the best hotel in Bochum with excellent central location. Some of the rooms have no safebox or fridge you need an upgrade to get these. Rooms are dimly lit. I tried ac but mostly hot air is coming so just opened the window the cooling was fine but ambulance sirens in the morning and church bells were loud. There is one Iron for the whole hotel in the gym 1st floor, so you have to carry your clothes with you to iron them. Water you get from lobby from water filtering machine. Breakfast was good. You can buy drinks and light snacks 24h from lobby.

A great choice for a business trip. Above average breakfast selections for any tastes. Room was clean and modern and the bathroom was not too small. Wifi was fast.

Nice hotel, friendly staff on front desk and bar, including breakfast team. They have fancy robots to clean and serve small thinks.

Breakfast buffet was great!

One of the elevators was not working which made elevators in the morning a slog. You can use the emergency exit stairs, but be warned that they route you outside. The stairs near room X08 drop you fairly close to the front door. The other stairs send you to the loading dock on the back side. :)

Room could have used a bit more light at night, but was workable.

The step into / out of the shower is big! Americans be warned. :) Otherwise the shower was very nice. High flow. Good hot water.

We were there for Essen Spiel. There weren't great options for game playing tables. A friend was staying at the Garner IHG hotel in Bochum where the restaurant was welcoming to late night gaming and had good tables and good food/drink service.

I stayed for 3 nights at the Mercure Hotel in Bochum and was quite disappointed. The room was very small with a rather upsetting view. There were no basic amenities provided — even simple things had to be requested separately. Overall, it didn’t meet the standard I expected from a Mercure hotel. But to be honest, location is in the heart of city which can forgive those missing things..

Conveniently located next to Bochum's train station, the hotel offers nice rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Breakfast is excellent. You can use the hotel parking for 23€ or use the near by underground city garage at a 1.6€ an hour or 14€ a day. There are a lot of bars and restaurants within 5 minutes by foot. Highly recommended if you need to stay in the area.

Big rooms, generous breakfast, friendly staff. Ok, it's just a chain hotel, but with its budget prices you get a lot of bang for your buck.
