Where to stay in Bochum

Just a nice stay but much search to find something for dinner on Sunday evening

I only stayed one night but it was really comfortable. Everything was clean and working correctly. The location was good and felt safe as a woman traveling alone. Note: My perspective is as solo traveler with only one personal bag and I was looking for a place to rest mainly. The day I arrived, there was a strike so most of the buses and U line were not working but the location was good so it allowed...

Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Only 1 double bed no child bed. I asked to be moved no availability on rooms with 3 bed. I asked for a folding bed they didn't have any. So one of us had to sleep on the floor. The double bed had a single size duvet. Only thing I would say is room was clean and spacious. I wouldn't book again.

The service was great and the room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and I’d definitely come back again.

It's a great hotel. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Nice and quiet. There is a gym on the 2nd floor, mainly cardio machines. Breakfast had a good choice. No food in the evening, which is a shame. It does a few snacks but no dinner menu.

Very quiet hotel on a public transit route, not far from the main train station. Check in is via screen with a virtual assistant. The hotel values conservation efforts, so hall lights are automated, and everything is digital, so there is no paper waste. The lobby is modern and appealing. Ice cream available for purchase, and there is a foosball table in the lobby. Everything was very clean.

I recently stayed at a GHOTEL in Bochum for a business trip. The rooms were well-maintained and cleanliness was upheld. Additionally, the self check-in process was efficient and straightforward.

Lovley Hotel- couldn't fault it. Nice location - you can take a tram to town that take 5 minutes. Nice toom and modern bathroom. We requested a cot for my daughter and it was not a problem to get it sorted.

Great staff. The room was hot when we stayed, it was warmed by the sun. No AC. Everything thing else very, very good, especially the reception staff, they were very helpful. The facilities are old and the state of the bathroom shows it. The hotel is located in a quiet area and well connected to public transport and supermarkets.

Booked for 3 nights to attend a Rammstein concert in nearby Gelsenkirchen. A little out of the way (11km from Gelsenkirchen itself) but a really laid back atmosphere. As my German is very rusty, I was grateful to see that several members of reception spoke English. An ideal hotel for seeing Starlight Express (the reason for my visit) which was literally on the doorstep of the hotel.

Obviously this hotel would be the best option if you booked the Starlight Express show as it's literally next door to the venue. The staff were polite, helpful, efficient, and spoke great English. On our trip in Europe we stayed in10 different hotels and hotelrooms. Room categories chosen were either basic or one above basic. We have no complaint about any of our choices. In each case, hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The room was clean but geting a bit old. The reception was nice and the personal was realy friendly. The breakfast was okay and the breakfast room is a little bit to dark for me. The parking Station is good and the near to the Musical Hall and Vonovia Arena is perfect.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. Lovely reception area and modern, clean rooms. My granddaughter was delighted, especially with ability to offer late room service for food. Very convenient for the football. I think the change of name of the hotel is misguided and unappealing.

Short (walking) distance to the Starlight Express Musical Theatre. Cosy rooms with an excellent wide bathroom. Very friendly and supporting staff. Gorgious breakfast with e.g. fresh baked rolls, fresh fruites, excellent coffee. All in all just a wonderful Placebo to stay !

Friendly welcome. Check-in was quick. Room is neat and clean. No coffee/tea in the room, but in the photos. Housekeeping on request. Real key. The hallway is a bit noisy and sometimes some noise from other rooms. Excellent breakfast times. There is enough choice but miss whole wheat bread to cut yourself. Conveniently located at Westfield Mall and close to highways.

Even though the position is rather difficult when it comes to sound levels during night time it's very clean and the staff friendly.

Stayed here for the euros. Location is not the best as its in a residential area a bit far out from the centre. Rooms are clean. Although toilets and showers are communal there are plenty so never had to wait. Staff are friendly & beds were comfortable. Certainly got value for money.

We stayed there for one night and it was really adequately equipped and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only small drawback is the thin walls in the rooms. You can hear when couples are having fun

I stayed just on night, passing through from Spain. Liked the room (62, single room) with its organic shapes and round window in the bathroom. The shower head had lights in it that changes with water temperature (I think). I found everything very clean.

Very nice hotel. Wasn’t expecting such a warm welcome, then the rooms were very nice. Modern decor and very clean. A nice room with plenty of space. I used the sauna and it was fantastic, very clean with nice herb water for putting on the coals. Plenty of free water. The beer is fresh on tap and the breakfast is very good.

After a long drive from Calais, I was pleasantly pleased to pull up the hotel. Very friendly lady on reception quickly booked me in. My room is spotlessly clean but not modern but I'd prefer clean over modern and dirty every day. The restaurant was busy but squeezed me in to a very tasty meal with a waitress helping to translate the menu into English. Come and stay and not be disappointed

Just as the first Time we came into the room, surprised us the most is the cleanliness. Especially in the bathroom it was really excellent. We were surprised about the competence at the front Desk was also positive that was us when Logging on to the Wi-Fi quick assist. Stayed there for about a week, loved this place! Very conveniently located with both side entries from the Viktoriastraße and the Bermuda Triangle, walkable from Bochum Hauptbahnhaf. Neatly minimally decorated rooms with everything exactly where they should be, in a white peaceful colour scheme. The cafe/restaurant downstairs is great, they serve fantastic breakfast! At City centre. Main station, famous Bermuda ecke and all shopping places are near to it. Rooms very clean. Breakfast is awesome. Staff was super friendly. Ambience is good.

We were together for 1 night (23.07.16) in this Hotel and were very impressed! Very quiet and well maintained location of the hotel!! Spacious and modern rooms. Also, a nice and modern bathroom. The Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. The price for the double room, incl. To second Breakfast, was 93 euros, which is cheap, but adequate. Back for more ;-)

The hotel is very close to the railway station. It is is quite new (2 years old now), rooms are very modern and clean. The staff was helpful, but please remember that reception closes at 20. Of course there is a wifi connection all over the place

I have stayed at zum neuling for the last 4-5 years whilst visiting family in bochum. The staff are very welcoming and willing to cater to all your needs. They are also good to have a chat with at the bar on a quiet evening. The hotel itself is very clean and well presented and offer an outstanding continental breakfast. I can guarantee that i will be staying religiously now for many years to come
