We had a great stay in this hotel! It was one of the places we stayed in during our honeymoon trip and they were so nice and they upgraded our room and even left us a personal handwritten note and played a little song when we arrived. The bed is super comfortable and the room is spacious. Also the tram stops right in front of it so it's super convenient, would definitely stay in it again ❤️

The room's interior was modern and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, and the bathroom was clean and easy to use. Friendly welcome. Check-in was quick. Room is neat and clean. No coffee/tea in the room, but in the photos. Housekeeping on request. Real key. The hallway is a bit noisy and sometimes some noise from other rooms. Excellent breakfast times. There is enough choice but miss whole wheat bread to cut yourself. Conveniently located at Westfield Mall and close to highways.

The room was exceptional. The bed very comfortable. The shower and bathroom were great. Just one issue that water from the shower leaked into the bathroom area for some reason. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Although I would suggest that the coffee they use should be a bit less bitter because the cappuccino and latte macchiato were too strong for us. All in all it is a wonderful hotel.

I asked for an early check in and the greek girl at the reception did her best to give me a room at 10.30 despite that check in was at 15.00. These are small details that make the next time I come back to Bochum I won't hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Top service.

The room has a good air volume. The area has a good air quality. The air change rate is insufficient. It needs a 24/7 ACH system which potentially uses zero or low power. We’ll be visiting again this hotel in this area.

Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Only 1 double bed no child bed. I asked to be moved no availability on rooms with 3 bed. I asked for a folding bed they didn't have any. So one of us had to sleep on the floor. The double bed had a single size duvet. Only thing I would say is room was clean and spacious. I wouldn't book again.

Booked for 3 nights to attend a Rammstein concert in nearby Gelsenkirchen. A little out of the way (11km from Gelsenkirchen itself) but a really laid back atmosphere. As my German is very rusty, I was grateful to see that several members of reception spoke English. Although their website states they have a restaurant, it appears that it’s only a continental breakfast and no lunches or dinners available...

Stayed here for the euros. Location is not the best as its in a residential area a bit far out from the centre. Rooms are clean. Although toilets and showers are communal there are plenty so never had to wait. Staff are friendly & beds were comfortable. Certainly got value for money.

The property was conveniently located to the bus/train station. Within walking distance to many restaurants/bars and shopping. It was very noisy as there were groups of people getting off the busses ad 3am/4am yelling/chanting and waking us up.

The pictures taken by the hotel don't really reflect reality - we were there 3 times and never had a room that really looked like that. The location near the main train station is very central, and the bus station is also right in front of the hotel. We were positively surprised by this hotel. The breakfast buffet is small, but better than few 4 stars I have been at. The personal was extremely friendly. Making breakfast was really pleasing. The reception was very friendly, they gave us a useful tip to avoid a big group between 8 and 9 at breakfast. We booked for 4, we ate in 5, no problem. Ibis style is now in our preferred list.

Room was sound, all we needed was a bed for the night and do the job. The throw on the bed was a bit dirty but other than that was spot on.

I stayed just on night, passing through from Spain. Liked the room (62, single room) with its organic shapes and round window in the bathroom. The shower head had lights in it that changes with water temperature (I think). I found everything very clean.

The Food was amazing! They were happy to accommodate and make the seasonal asparagus meal with a vegan sauce! The only thing was the old lady walking around and come really close to us and hovering in our personal Space 😭

I have stayed at zum neuling for the last 4-5 years whilst visiting family in bochum. The staff are very welcoming and willing to cater to all your needs. They are also good to have a chat with at the bar on a quiet evening. The hotel itself is very clean and well presented and offer an outstanding continental breakfast. I can guarantee that i will be staying religiously now for many years to come

You will appreciate every single detail which you would normally not expect in a small Side walk hotel like this. It ticks most of the boxes like Radisson Blue would except having a mini bar, but the staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast fully equipped. It really was much better than expected. Cons: a bit far to the shopping street and weak WiFi in the room... but that's not even worth mentioning...

Amazing hotel with an excellent position, very quiet and so close to the train station. We chose it because we wanted to go to the Spiel Essen exhibition and it was perfect.

Nice area found it strange no microwave in kitchen plus noisy below because of supermarket at very early times frying pan and other pans need renewed in kitchen plus first night got smaller room because of mix-up then had to move next day staff working there helpful.

Unmanned i.e. affordable. Washing machine, iron, fridge, microwave oven, utensils in the room, free wifi, Lidl grocery store downstairs. Really good if human contacts is not what you're looking for. In my room the fridge was apparently broken through.
