We were positively surprised by this hotel. The breakfast buffet is small, but better than few 4 stars I have been at. The personal was extremely friendly. Making breakfast was really pleasing. The reception was very friendly, they gave us a useful tip to avoid a big group between 8 and 9 at breakfast. We booked for 4, we ate in 5, no problem. Ibis style is now in our preferred list.

The property was conveniently located to the bus/train station. Within walking distance to many restaurants/bars and shopping. It was very noisy as there were groups of people getting off the busses ad 3am/4am yelling/chanting and waking us up.

At 29 degrees the air conditioning didn't work in the whole hotel...etc.

The pictures taken by the hotel don't really reflect reality - we were there 3 times and never had a room that really looked like that. The location near the main train station is very central, and the bus station is also right in front of the hotel. This naturally attracts a corresponding clientele...when it's cold outside, the people disappear relatively quickly, but the warmer it gets, the "hotter" the atmosphere outside the window becomes. You have the choice - train tracks (out the back) or bus station (out the front). You can't just have breakfast - you have to reserve a breakfast time when you check in, as the breakfast room is very small. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and completely fine. The breakfast offers a wide selection, there is even a pancake machine.

Ibis Style in the same building of Bochum Hauptbahnhof and entrance is bit dirty. Single rooms were really small and not worth for the price. They provide a good breakfast option but the breakfast area is little small. If the hotel has more guest then there will be waiting for breakfast. WiFi connection was not available in first floor during the days of my stay.

Location is great, since its directly opposite to the HBF! Not too loud as well.
The rooms are fine, though the beds/mattresses keep slipping, which is insanely annoying. The room itself was small and you could barely move in the bathroom.
