Reviews
The personnel that attended me are extremely kind and attentive, both the night- and day-shift. For example, as I am no German speaking, there were considerated and speak English with no hesitation (no like other places that they refuse to do so).
Rooms are clear but one thing that didn't satisfied us that was size of bathroom, it was too small and I think if closet was not so huge it has more space for bathroom.
And thing with what I personally was in love that little round windows with lovely ornament ❣️
The room was clean but very small and a bit worn. The bathroom was VERY small eg. you could not sit on the toilet without your knees were hitting the wall. This hat happened to others before us because the toilet roll holder was loose and the toilet paper kept falling down because you could not avoid touching it when going to the toilet.
The location very close to the station is good if you only need it for a stay while visiting nearby cities.
We went for the Euro 2024 and the hotel had more than doubled the price making it way too expensive for this very basic hotel.
The staff was friendly.
The bathroom is tiny and might bother bigger people. I was happy the showerhead had two spray settings, as initially I was disappointed with the water pressure. But the second setting, although narrower spray, gives better pressure. (I really dislike low water pressure!)
The room has an airconditioning unit, so I was spared from outside noise by opening the window for cool / fresh air. The aircon is a bit noisy though. I only needed a place to sleep and shower, so I didn't spend much time inside, and hence the small size of the room and bathroom didn't bother me.
My check-in in the afternoon was easy and painless and the lady at reception was friendly. I was out for a show and arrived back shortly after midnight. At that time, another guy was at reception, and was greeted happily. Before retiring for the night (morning) I sat outside the hotel doors at the available tables with a nice cold beer that was available for purchase at reception, even at that time of night. For a Friday night it wasn't so noisy outside and was actually quite calm.
Expensive, run down, noisy, tiny rooms, and overall cleanliness were all very much below acceptable for a hotel chain of this size.
It should be closed down and demolished or a major refurbishment should be actioned immediately.
