For years now, we (from the Rhineland, so we're not carnival grumps) keep coming back to Münster.

We often stay at the Mövenpick; its location by the lake, next to the cemetery, ensures the peace and quiet that's important to us. From January 24th to 25th, we booked a single room.
It was the night leading up to my 83rd birthday.
There was a carnival society staying at the hotel.
The noise from the music, especially the bass, was unbearable even on the 4th floor. Sleep was impossible until well past midnight.
We weren't informed about this beforehand.
An absolute NO GO!!!!, especially since we've experienced something similar there once before.
So, it's better to inquire beforehand whether it will be quiet.

The hotel has great location and is very convenient, close to the city center and the lake. The room and food is very good as well. Unfortunately the staff at the reception was very unfriendly even rude. Both check in and check out were not very nice. At check out I found out that I have to pay city tax on top of the already paid price. The booking was made through the Accor All app and it was saying that the price is including all taxes and fees. I have tried to explain this but a lady named Malina even didn’t wanted to listen and acted really rude, talking to me from the office behind the reception. It was very disrespectful.

The best hotel to sleep over before the flight.
Be ready to pay for the parking in the garage. The parking outside is limited.

Manager at reception was very helpful and friendly. My room booking via booking.com was for a wrong date (my mistake) and he fixed it. Amazing and very much appreciated.

A 4 star hotel that feels more like a 3 star. No coffee machine in the room (only a cattle with instant coffee), undersized television, shower water temperature fluctuations, no drinking water in the gym.
Overall the hotel feels outdated. Room size and service are decent. Location is very good.

Come on Mövenpick, 32 Euros for breakfast now? That is neither reasonable nor acceptable, just strip off. I hope you will do better in the future.
