Haller Hotel Garni in Monschau

Wonderful hotel stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well thought out. We enjoyed the balcony to relax with a drink at the end of the day. My wife was so happy to have a kettle and coffee in the room.

You will not be disappointed. Spotlessly clean. Everything you need. Good shower. Delightful hosts. Andrea could not do more. Very welcoming. Delicious breakfast. A real home from home. Even though hotel on road into Monschau it had good double glazing and shutters.

We stayed for just one night during our journey from the UK, touring around Germany. This is a lovely little hotel on the edge of Monschau. There are only a few rooms and we were allocated room 5 - I think this must be one of the best rooms as it is a very good size, with a large balcony directly overlooking the view at the front and the river. The room was very well equipped, with fridge and kettle. The bathroom was also a good size with a large shower and plenty of hot water. We were able to park immediately underneath the building and were even able to leave the car there the day we left when we walked into the town to have a look. The hotel is well situated, just a ten minute walk into the old town and the sound of the river overnight was perfect for sleeping - just like white noise. The hotel is very quiet (little traffic) and very well maintained. In the morning we got to meet Andrea and Frank during breakfast - a very nice couple. Breakfast was in a bright room and there was a a good spread including fresh fruit and pastries. This was a very good start to our trip around South West Germany and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a visit to Monschau (we could easily have spent another night there). It is also one of the few places to have parking on site. Thank you.

We spent two nights at this great Hotel Garni (ie breakfast but no other meals available except for a packed lunch) which is ideally located on the edge of Monschau. Parking is free at the hotel and access to the castle ruin and centre of town is easy on foot. Very helpful owner/receptionist. Our room was small but had a balcony, comfortable bed, good shower, tea/coffee making facility and small fridge in the room. The electrically controlled exterior window blind made a great noise and light barrier allowing for a good night's sleep.

Excellent. I am coming back and highly reccommend this hotel.

Very good rover side view rooms. Breakfast available in hotel, fruits and beer, wine too!
For a lazy getaway the room is perfect!
