Worst room ever! It smelled like urine and mold. No air circulation unless you wanted to leave the room door and curtains to outside open. The 1 window opened to the entrance to the cellar and animals could have crawled in overnight if left open. It was like a cave. Carpet stained and gross. light fixture was just a bulb. Never let them put you in a room numbered below 100! I don't understand how they get better ratings.

Hotel with nice view to Elbe
My stay was nice without any problem. Hotel is located a bit far from evening attraction but provides ferry tickets for each day in order to get to the other side of Elba river and Bad Schandau.

Boat over the Elbe connects hotel to center of Bad Schandau and start of hiking routes to natural park Sächsischer Schweitz.
Good breakfast, OK restaurant and another option for dinner nearby. Clean rooms, nice staff.

Big property with lots of little courtyards to sit privately, outside areas with very comfortable armchairs, beautiful terrace for lunch and dinner. Just 3 min walk to the Elbe park with playground, stop for boats and ferries, 2 min walk to the bus, 8 min to the train… the perfect spot to explore the Saxony Switzerland area by foot, bike…

It is a good location for hiking and traveling around the Saxon Switzerland National Park (Königstein, Bastai). It is not directly connected to the famous tourist attractions, but I moved by S Bahn. The interval between buses is long, but it was still comfortable to move.
I arrived before 20:00 because they said that check-in was not possible very late, and breakfast was served until 10:00, so I had plenty of time.
The service was very friendly, and I had a great trip after receiving recommendations for hiking courses.

Very disappointed with people at reception we tried to call many times during morning and nobody picked the phone. When we get there the gentleman at the reception looked like he is not even from the hotel and the reception smelled like an ashtray. The receptionist hasn't been helpful at all and was a bit rude.
The hotel looked nice and cozy, but we won't be coming back.

Worst room ever! The room stunk of urine and mold. It had no air circulation unless you were willing to leave your room door and curtains open to all passing by. Carpet was worn and stained. Light fixtures were just bulb in ceiling. The only window other than the room door opened to cellar entrance and animals or vermin could have come into the room. Like being in a stinky cave! Do not accept a room with a number less than 100. YUK!

No elevator, had to carry my luggage to the 2nd floor. Could not open the window during night due to nearby railway line. Good breakfast choice, Bit breakfast only available as from 97:30hrs.

I was in the restaurant for dinner, unannounced and very pleasantly surprised. The customer service was excellent and the menu varied with a regional accent. There is something for every taste. The price-performance ratio is reasonable and the restaurant is recommended.
