Space Hotel im Campus der Jvp Schule in Leipzig

We encountered the rudest staff member at this hotel. He yelled at us in both German and English because check in was 4pm and we asked to store our luggage at 3pm because we arrived early. He yelled " This is a school and we hate people arriving early" We were completely unaware we had booked a school and understand if an early check in is not possible. There was no need for rudeness and yelling. We decided to check in at 4pm despite the mean older man because we didn't want to waste our one day in Leipzig looking for accommodation and we had already paid. After checking in a party started outside our room. See photos attached.... The rude man I believe runs the hostel as he was in all of the photos on the walls?

We booked this hotel and called them about an hour before arrival. They said they closed 19.00 insted of 20.00 (the info in our confirmation mail). We would arrive aproximately 19.20 but the guy I talked to said he couldn’t stay. He told us to cansel the reservation, so we did. But they billed us for the stay allthou it was their fault.

Was the worst experience ever! The location is not in a nice area in Leipzig, the building itself is old and falling down. The prices are really not according to what they offer. Right after went to see other Hostels and were much better, cheaper and also honest personal.

I booked a room when the whole city was booked because of an event. It was expensive (100€ a night). When I arrived, I found the room was furnished like a bad youth hostel, on the fourth floor, with no elevator, and shared bathrooms. Not what I expected given the description (and the price). I complained to the staff that the description on *********** was inaccurate (the first bullet point on the description was "Bath", but there was only a sink in the room). The guy on the desk listened at first, even checked if there are rooms available that have a bathroom, but when his boss joined the conversation, he immediately started to loudly berate me, insult me, and literally scream at me (including my favourite line of the whole rant, "this is not a hotel"). I just stood there shocked. All I managed to say was that the description didn't match the room, and he should check it. Although it took a couple of minutes to get all of that across. I'm pretty polite really, but this man didn't like to be told anything by anyone. I was told if I didn't like it, I should leave, and good luck finding a room when everything is booked. I did, and I found a room in a big chain-hotel right in the city center for only 70€, which was, of course, perfect. As I was booking my new room outside, I could see him going back to his pupils. It was the worst experience I have ever had to endure in a hotel (or not a hotel). But after reading the other reviews on here, I think everything worked out great for me. 😣

DON'T GO TO THIS HOSTEL, IT'S A SCAM. We arrived 15mins late because our bus was delayed, and the reception was closed and we didn't get our money back. There was someone still working at the reception, and instead of helping us out, he left us in the street with our luggage. He insulted at us and told us to go away. We won't get back the money for one night we didn't spend in the hostel. We lost 40€ to one of the worst hostels I've ever seen. Worst story ever lived in a hostel. Bad service, bad people and a scam.

Their web advertisement is materially incomplete. After you have booked and paid, they then send you a 1.5 page complex Message of Check In Instructions. This makes it mandatory to use Contactless Check In via a Phone and App. It's illegal to add mandatory conditions after you have paid! Then, even though you have paid for the room in advance, they impose a $150 euro "Reservation Hold" on your Card. They then do not cancel it and say "Contact your Bank". The Staff are rude and say anything to avoid taking responsibility. DO NOT STAY HERE they are a rip off!

Super rude and unfriendly staff. They hang up the phone while we are still talking to them. Did the same to our booking agent. Zero flexibility or hospitality.
