Good Morning Erfurt East Hotel in Erfurt

We were 3 people on this trip and got ourselves a 3 bed-room. The bathroom was not cleaned for us and the previous visitors’ towels were laying on the floor and heater. We only had two usable towels. After mentioning this to the receptionist she was able to put us in a bigger room as cleaning staff was unavailable at that time.

We went through a dark hallway to our room and only little natural light coming in was through the small circular window. Dark paint and dark carpets in a hotel as a German would say, is “altmodisch” and needs a little updating and tlc.

The new room was for 4 people, but only had one towel holder! (Now this is common sense or?) No other space in the room to dry the damp towels! Perhaps include some small hand towels for the guests as we ended up using a massive towel just to dry our hands. The big window would not close properly and had a cold air draft. A maintenance check is really needed.

On the positive side: friendly breakfast service staff and reasonable breakfast in a well lit open dining space near the entrance.
