Reviews
Basically everything within their control can be made so much better, needs time and investment. Need better people running the hotel and need to stop claiming they’re a 5 star hotel when some of the rooms are basically 3 star.
Reception. 1st class service from check in/out, bus times, late check out info. Always smiling.
Food. Not one bad thing to say about the food. Breakfast had everything you could ask for even onion rings !! Lunch and dinner catered for all foodies. Plenty of fish and different meats. Salads were lovely. Loved the hot grill area that served pizza and sonething special each day wether it was giant prawns cooked in ouzo or liver that was excellent.
Then there was the poolside pizza and gyros on offer. Absolutely superb.
Drinks. You could have everythibg from cocktails to large measure and i mean large measure shorts with a mixer. Lager was Vap and mythros and they were just right during the hot days.
Rooms. Great view from the 7th floor although a little nervous sitting on the balcony as its a long way down when you look over the edge. Rooms cleaned everyday and to a high standard. Thank you.
Other facilities. Beach towels were provided, shower rooms available after check out.
Entertainment. Something on offer all day -aqua aerobics etc.
The small water park is a great idea.
Loved the cushioned sun loungers by the 3 pools. So comfortable.
Theres more that i have probably missed.
The staff were always happy and smiling and would great you where ever you went.
Its a big hotel so could get busy during peak time but going in october meant it was less crowded.
If you want a relaxing break with a chilled atmosphere but in a fantastic hotel then come here.
Definately returning.
The room was small, but clean and had everything needed. Shampoo had a lovely smell and hair conditioner provided by the hotel really smoothed my unruly hair 😅 the dryer at the balcony could he a bit bigger, as it was difficult to fit there two beach towels and bathing suits. Also, I believe changing room TVs to smartTVs is worth considering, as youtube/netflix access in hotels is becoming a standard now.
Common areas like reception, main bar or pools are really beautiful now! Having seen the videos from last year or two, we can see an enormous change, and for the better. It is stunningly gorgeous now.
The main restaurant was clean and the staff was really nice and friendly. Food variety could be a bit better, but morning omellettes were a must for us - simply delicious! Pizzas, pitas and crepes served by the pool were amazing as well - in fact, we loved them so much we often chose them instead of lunch in the main restaurant. Both pool and main bar were also really nice, the staff was great.
Food in Elia restaurant was generally good, starters, salads and desserts were simply amazing. Main course was a bit worse, we both chose steaks and they were unfortunately cold. I feel like there aren't enough waiters and waitresses here and that caused the issue.
Pools were really clean and pretty, water was not really warm though. Sunbeds are really comfy by the pool, little less by the beach, but they are also nice. Sun umbrellas, both by the pool and on the beach, are too small though, it's really difficult to have some shade on your sunbed. The beach is very pretty, with amazing views and wonderfully warm sea. I do recommend having swimming shoes though, but you can easily buy them in the nearby shopping centre or somewhere in Faliraki.
The garden of the hotel is stunningly beautiful, with many flowers and plants. We loved it! Common bathrooms are also clean and well-maintained.
Evening animations at the hotel were really enjoyable here, every performance was amazing and really worth seeing.
The hotel is outside of the town of Faliraki, but the bus stop just in front of the hotel makes up for it. Tickets for buses are pretty cheap, so I definitely recommend traveling through the island that way.
Overall, we deeply enjoyed our stay in the Pegasos hotel. The views, sea and amazing staff made our stay here a dream come true. Thanks to all of the people working at the hotel, amazing job!
The room was comfortable with a small balcony, amazing view of the pool and sea. The hotel has 5 pools and a small water park. A private beach with lots of beds and umbrellas for free use by hotel guests. The dining room is large and not felt crowded at any stage of the meals. The food is very tasty with a very large selection of food and desserts. No one will come and not find something to eat, a really huge selection. Cold and hot drink machines, a beer tap and a wine machine. The wellness complex has a large bar that offers cocktails, beers, hot drinks and more. There are also stands for shawarma, sausages, crepes, ice cream, Belgian waffles and natural drinks. The hotel staff is very nice and responds to every request with a smile. We had a perfect experience.
Before our departure to Rhodes, I checked the reviews about this hotel. I was shocked by the reports of food poisoning. It was too late to cancel, so I took medicine and bought medical insurance.
At first, everything seemed fine. We were given a nice sea-view room. But 48 hours into our stay at the hotel, I started experiencing bloating, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Even after 3 days, I still have stomach pain and can't eat normally.
The hotel manager attributed it to a virus, but I didn't take a blood test, so I can't say for sure. However, I have never felt so miserable. I was unwell for half of our holiday. I wonder why my daughter didn't get sick. She eats only cooked meals, unlike me. So, I suspect the food was the main reason. Also, guests from nearby hotels did not report any food poisoning.
The quality of the food is not great. Vegetables and fruits didn't taste fresh. There was no air conditioning in the restaurant, and they used reusable plastic glasses at the pool bar. Everyone had access to the ice cream.
The only good thing about this hotel is its location on the beachfront and the good room cleaning service. The people I met also complained about food poisoning.
After so many cases, the management should take measures to stop the spread of infection at the hotel. It should be closed for a while, and tourists shouldn't be staying there.
From early on in our stay, we suffered from diarrhea, which we strongly believe was caused by the food served at the hotel. The water also seemed questionable, likely just filtered and not as safe as it should be. To make matters worse, the hotel uses plastic cups available for all guests, and we couldn't help but wonder if these were being properly cleaned and sanitized.
On top of that, we developed persistent coughs and cold sweats, leaving us bedridden for two full days. This illness prevented us from enjoying the amenities and activities we had paid for. What makes this more frustrating is that nearby hotels don’t seem to have similar complaints, suggesting that the issues may be specific to this property.
In the end, despite the prime beachfront location, our stay was ruined by these health problems. Sadly, it’s an experience we never want to repeat.
Location is ok and the staff are amazing!
All inclusive but with a few conditions. No coffee in the room and not allowed to bring drinks to the room, the funny bit is, the room has a fridge but with only one bottle of water and like I said, not allowed to bring any drinks to the room.
The room for 3, a double bed and a single sofa that converts into a small kids bed.
The shower/bath is quite small, I’m 5”6 or 1.68 and I feel a bit tight in the shower.
The all inclusive drinks is what expected for an average hotel, not very special and got to pay for them after 11pm.
Loads of families with kids so not a good place for couples.
Avoid the peak hours at the main restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will be packed.
Expect a bit of delay on the lifts to upper floors, too busy and sometimes only one lift working.
The location is good, not far from Rhodes town, 20min away. It’s on the east side of the Island so you don’t get to see any sun set and gets darker quicker than the west side of the Island.
