Galini Hotel in Agia Marina

Simply put, it’s dreadful

The rooms have mini fridges and my balcony was nice to sit out on. The bed was comfortable enough and the water pressure so so but that's pretty standard on smaller islands. The roof had a small pool and a bar (though I never saw it in action) and choice of shade or sunbeds to tan on with a great view. Whilst the staff were friendly and gave me a choice of two rooms, I don't have many more positives. The rooms need to be updated and cleanliness standards lifted. The checkout system was also extremely stressful as they're pos (card) machine would not accept my card, though I had been using it all over Greece and in stores on Aegina and in turn I missed the one and only Ferry back to the mainland. Of course it didn't cross their minds that it could be their machine.. I managed to pay with cash as there is an ATM machine close to the mini market down the road. However still inconvenient, having to pay more money to take a bus to a different port and wait hours more before arriving back home; not a great experience.
