Reviews
The suite itself is spacious, but of the slightly older style, and minor improvements could have enhanced its attractiveness. However it is comfortable and a pleasant place to come back to after a day of touring. And importantly, it is centrally located at Plaka within easy walking distance to most major attractions such as the Acropolis, Agora, Parliamant House etc etc, and surrounded by shops and restaurans of all kinds.
A special shout-out is to Eve who managed the reception desk the whole time we were there. Nothing is too much porblem for her, and she is always patient with whatever we have to say, no matter how trivial. We understand that she has completed a hotel management course; and we are confident that, in the course of her carrer, she will represent the Athens hospitality industry with distiction!
We had the room on the top floor, which had spectacular views, was comfortable, quiet, the only downside was the restricted AC, but that was because of the time of year.
Breakfast were not just standard continental fare, and huge, but if you just wanted a croissant they did that also.
The hotel is in an excellent location, the service was impeccable, and the breakfast at the nearby café was fresh, delicious, and truly outstanding.
The only downside was that the air conditioning system couldn’t be switched from heating to cooling — during our stay, it was set to heat, and the room felt a bit warm at times.
Other than that, everything was absolutely great, and we would definitely stay here again!
We highly recommend the Ivy Suites.

I cannot praise Ergon House enough.
Due to extreme unforeseen circumstances and airspace closure in my country, I was unable to make it to my reservation.
Despite having a non-refundable booking, the hotel team showed incredible empathy and integrity.
They went above and beyond to coordinate a full refund, proving that they truly care about their guests as human beings, not just as booking numbers.
I am already planning my next stay here and will book directly with them.
A hotel with such a big heart is rare to find.
Thank you, Ergon House!
We chose the Medium size room as we knew that we would be spending less time lounging in Athens and more time exploring. The Medium size room was the perfect size for us. We found the beds to be comfortable and there was ample space to store our belongings for two nights. Even though we stayed on the same floor as the check in desk, we did not find noise to be an issue at all.
The location was spectacular as we were able to walk to all of the sites of Athens that we were interested in seeing. We were close to The Acropolis, Plaka, Monastiraki, and countless restaurants and bars. The only ride we needed was a car service getting to and from the airport. While Ergon house offered to assist with these rides, we decided to book them privately ahead of time.
There is a small gym that was nothing spectacular but got the job done to get a quick workout in. This did not bother us as we certainly got enough steps in exploring Athens.
The absolute best part of our stay at ERGON House Athens was the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was absolutely incredible. The poached eggs on a bagel with Greek yogurt was unlike any dish we have ever had - we day dream of it often!! Also phenomenal was the pancakes and spanakopita. We also asked for fresh fruit each morning. Each day started off on the right food after such a great breakfast here!! We also stopped at the ERGON Bake House across the street for pastries, which were equally as good!! Not to mention, we loved going to the rooftop for a cocktail at the end of the night after a great day of exploring!!
We would absolutely recommend ERGON House Athens to anyone traveling to Athens!! When we have the opportunity to return to Athens, we will not look anywhere else for a great stay!
Even though the menu looked great and I could see our neighbors enjoying their meals, I wasn’t up for this sort of treatment. Had a word with the manager who was now then ready to take our orders but we decided to take our business elsewhere.
Ergon House Athens is a truly special place. The design is thoughtful and warm, perfectly balancing contemporary style with Greek identity. The entire staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, offering a level of hospitality that feels genuine and personal.
The hotel’s signature scent is unforgettable, carried through to the room via beautiful locally made shampoo and shower gel. Cleanliness is impeccable throughout.
I have been traveling for many years and have dined in several Michelin-starred restaurants, yet the breakfasts and food at Ergon House are truly unmatched. An atmosphere so inviting that leaving the hotel is genuinely difficult.
Highly recommended - I will come back!
