Athens City View Urban Suites in Athens

We had a terrible experience with the host and the location of the hotel. It’s right in the middle of Athens city centre and right above many loud and super noisy bars, which made us impossible to sleep even with earplugs. I asked for a comforter since they only have an empty bedsheet on the bed and they were unable to provide something decent and clean. We raised the problems at the reception and tried to see what options we have (incl. a partial refund and check out). The hotel and the manager was not collaborative since they only cared that they got the money already and it was our problem that we cannot sleep during a holiday. Specifically the manager refused to talk to us and we managed to reach him after difficult conversation at the reception for half an hour. The only option they offered was to change a room two days later, so technically they expected us to continue having sleepless nights. They were arrogant and rude during the whole process with their story changing direction rapidly based on their needs. We felt it was a horrible experience from the stay perspective but we haven’t experienced such bad treatment of guests in a hotel either. Never recommend this place and hope to ensure other guests won’t make the mistake to book such a terrible place.
