Would never give this place 3stars maybe 2 just for the location. Breakfast was minimal and coffee and juice were below average Bed was uncomfortable room was tiny. Shower was odd and toilet leaked, anything more than urine good luck flushing it Power went out for a while, ac was set at 26c which barely eased your sweating in a very hot place such as Athens.

The hotel has a perfect location and a friendly staff. We got the room with the balcony that has an impressive view to the Parthenon and I think that was the highlight of the stay. Regarding location is couldnt be better, right in the city center! Breakfast its really really simple and the shower needs a little improvement because its not high enough and not comfortable, it was like a hose shower.

if you want to spoil your selve in nice vecation and you are a couple this is not the choice for you . if you need a good stop and a good solusion to "put your head" and hand a round the good location area the hotel so this is good choise and the valiu for money is good . the room is basic - no safe in room , breakfast is basic and the bath remind me houses from worls war 2 and old movies but every thing is functional and basic and works . hotel stuff are nice . so it is recommended only for people who are not use to 4 stars and up you will surely disaponted

Good The location IS THE BEST, for the price. Convenient journey from/to Airport to Syntagma Metro (45-5mins then 5-10 min walk to hotel), for Plaka, shops, Acropolis etc. Basic rooms and breakfast. Daytime personnel on reception v friendly. Water/drinks machine in reception. Quiet room. Not so good Bad smell in my room, so had to keep the French doors open, whilst using aircon, so not eco friendly. Rather unfriendly (unusual for this hotel) man when I arrived early hours (flight delayed), but had forewarned my arrival time would be in the middle of the night. Coffee from machine dreadful! No tomatoes or cucumbers. The room could have been cleaner.

Good, unpretentious, functional hotel with a fantastic location. Within walking distance to Syntagma Square and Monastiraki. Very safe area. Just a few minutes down the road and you're in the heart of Monastiraki, where all the bars, restaurants etc. are situated. Quite good value for money.

We booked to stay for 2 nights. We agreed that if we had had a third night, we would have switched hotel. We couldn’t sleep from the noise coming in from the road as well as the plumbing any time someone used the bathroom. There were then cockroaches in the bathroom the day we were checking out.

Spent a night here pre-cruise. Paid €45 taxi from airport to the hotel, 45 minute drive. Check in was fast, paid €5 cash for tax. Arrived late 11pm and front desk man explained breakfast hours, wifi and noon checkout. There are drinks and snacks in the mini convenience store in the lobby. Elevator is typical European boutique hotel size: only 2 people and 2 carryon bags can fit inside. Stayed in room 402, quiet, bathroom smaller than a cruise ship bathroom, half-sink, half-tub but strong shower pressure. Super tight bathroom! There is a fridge, old hairdryer and safe. Wifi is weak inside the room, strongest in the lobby. We didn’t eat breakfast there. Location is great, it’s almost between main spots monastiriki and syntagma. Shopping and restaurants walking distance. Costs €21 Uber to cruise port. Follow IG @i_therefore_conclude for travel and food trips

Good - 10-15 mins walk to Syntagma square (Airport bus/metro) Many eateries within walking distance Walking distance to Plaka, Acropolis, Monastiraki, Ermou etc Breakfast was simple but good Not so good - Hotel might be hard to spot, closest landmark is Mamasitas restaurant Small bathroom

Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better practical hotel stay. Location is perfect, walking distance to anything but also there is a metro station for those that don’t like to walk as much to the attractions. The hotel had everything one would need nice bed, wonderful bathroom and great service from the reception. Breakfast is a PLUSS!!! Thanks!

The gentleman at the front desk had a blank expression on his face. You can store your bags by yourself without leaving any traces. There were many steps, the room was small, and there were traditional stacked beds, which were not very good.

Too noisy. Doors are made of paper. You can hear every moment and word of people around you. There’s also a busy street outside to keep you awake at any time of the night

Exceptional humanity and world-class service!
I cannot praise Ergon House enough.
Due to extreme unforeseen circumstances and airspace closure in my country, I was unable to make it to my reservation.
Despite having a non-refundable booking, the hotel team showed incredible empathy and integrity.
They went above and beyond to coordinate a full refund, proving that they truly care about their guests as human beings, not just as booking numbers.
I am already planning my next stay here and will book directly with them.
A hotel with such a big heart is rare to find.
Thank you, Ergon House!

I passed by this restaurant and immediately decided to have lunch here. I learned that it is a very interesting business compound that joins restaurant, market and hotel. It is very huge and very popular. I didn't have reservation so I got the sitting seats near the window. I ordered smoked cod fish and cod roe, both are very delicious, especially the cod roe. It is very soft and foamy, with well balanced taste of Salt and smoking. The quantity is generous and with the very special bread I even couldn't eat all of them. And for main dish I ordered Caesar salad and fried squid, both are delicious. Then I did some shopping at the market, where I bought nice olive oils and pistachio nuts. I do like this idea and I would like to visit it again!

We chose ERGON House Athens for the Athens leg of our Honeymoon last August. We were referred to ERGON House by a local chef/restaurant owner here in the United States. We are so grateful for his recommendation as it was the perfect place to stay as a newly married couple who loves food.

We chose the Medium size room as we knew that we would be spending less time lounging in Athens and more time exploring. The Medium size room was the perfect size for us. We found the beds to be comfortable and there was ample space to store our belongings for two nights. Even though we stayed on the same floor as the check in desk, we did not find noise to be an issue at all.

The location was spectacular as we were able to walk to all of the sites of Athens that we were interested in seeing. We were close to The Acropolis, Plaka, Monastiraki, and countless restaurants and bars. The only ride we needed was a car service getting to and from the airport. While Ergon house offered to assist with these rides, we decided to book them privately ahead of time.

There is a small gym that was nothing spectacular but got the job done to get a quick workout in. This did not bother us as we certainly got enough steps in exploring Athens.

The absolute best part of our stay at ERGON House Athens was the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was absolutely incredible. The poached eggs on a bagel with Greek yogurt was unlike any dish we have ever had - we day dream of it often!! Also phenomenal was the pancakes and spanakopita. We also asked for fresh fruit each morning. Each day started off on the right food after such a great breakfast here!! We also stopped at the ERGON Bake House across the street for pastries, which were equally as good!! Not to mention, we loved going to the rooftop for a cocktail at the end of the night after a great day of exploring!!

We would absolutely recommend ERGON House Athens to anyone traveling to Athens!! When we have the opportunity to return to Athens, we will not look anywhere else for a great stay!

I really wanted to like this place. The interiors are great, with the best location but the staff -😫. Another story all together. Was already seated for 40 minutes and had to eventually walk out after repeatedly asking, no, BEGGING for the staff’s attention.

Even though the menu looked great and I could see our neighbors enjoying their meals, I wasn’t up for this sort of treatment. Had a word with the manager who was now then ready to take our orders but we decided to take our business elsewhere.

An exceptional stay in the heart of Athens - it’s a must if you’re a foodie!

Ergon House Athens is a truly special place. The design is thoughtful and warm, perfectly balancing contemporary style with Greek identity. The entire staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, offering a level of hospitality that feels genuine and personal.

The hotel’s signature scent is unforgettable, carried through to the room via beautiful locally made shampoo and shower gel. Cleanliness is impeccable throughout.

I have been traveling for many years and have dined in several Michelin-starred restaurants, yet the breakfasts and food at Ergon House are truly unmatched. An atmosphere so inviting that leaving the hotel is genuinely difficult.

Highly recommended - I will come back!
