Marelen Hotel in Kalamakion

Hotel Marelen is absolutely amazing. The spaces are beautiful and very clean. I especially loved the adults-only pool, which also had a jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing. The staff is incredible, the waiters are very friendly, the housekeeping team is great, and the receptionists are extremely kind.
The food was phenomenal. Breakfast had an enormous selection, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit, and fresh orange juice, all kept spotless and well-maintained. :)) Dinners were equally excellent, and the desserts were fantastic,authentic cheesecakes, sweet mousses, something different every day, all incredibly tasty.
The hotel is conveniently locatedabout an hour on foot or just 8 minutes by car from the airport. A taxi costs around €15–20, which is a bit pricey for such a short ride, but very convenient.

The island of Zakynthos itself is stunning and definitely worth exploring. Boat trips are unforgettable,turquoise waters, breathtaking views. We wouldn’t just stay at the hotel, even though it’s amazing.. the island offers so much, and our vacation was truly wonderful. :) thank you Marelen

This was our second stay at the Marelen, and this time we brought our adult children and grandchild along. We absolutely love this hotel and are always sad to be going home. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service is second to none. The rooms are immaculate, with towels and bins changed daily, and everything is kept spotless. We always stay B&B as we enjoy trying the many wonderful restaurants along the main *****. There’s plenty of choice for breakfast and the food is always delicious and plentiful. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, and the pool areas are clean and tidy, perfect for relaxing. The beach is just a 5 minute walk away, and the main ***** is about 10 minutes on foot, making the location ideal. We’re already planning to book again for next year. We love Kalamaki, and we love the Hotel Marelen, it's truly amazing hotel.

We had a wonderful time. Perfect location, beautiful hotel, spacious rooms and bathroom and comfortable beds. The food in both the lounge bar and the restaurant was excellent. The staff, all of them, were welcoming, very helpful, and incredibly friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you for the wonderful holiday.

Pool bar staff Costa ,and the young lady of which I never knew her name
And nico the bar man had some great chats
I can say what a lovely hotel this is .

Everything you need at a reasonable price. A wonderful place for a family vacation. Plus, the area was quiet, and the beach nearby wasn't crowded. We felt great!

The hotel is in a great location, 200 meters from the beach, very clean and well-maintained. From the balcony, you can see planes landing 1 km away. There's a large recreational area, comparable to a resort, with three swimming pools surrounding the hotel buildings. The breakfast is decent, although a bit repetitive (due to the pandemic, reception was very strict about masks, and there were no issues with putting food on in any of the restaurants—the only downside). Overall, it's a very good hotel; I'd happily return.

A hotel with attention to detail, excellent cleanliness, friendly service, 4 pools, including a children's pool with games worthy of a water park. Excellent breakfast... dinner too. 200 meters from the sea and 500 meters from the main street of Kalamaki... highly recommended!

A clean room, well-maintained property, attentive and courteous staff, decent and well-chosen food, absolutely reasonable prices for extra services, and, finally, a wonderful pool for children. We were there in the last week of July and would definitely consider returning if we were to visit Zakynthos again.

Here for the second time at the Marelen Hotel. Fabulous reception on arrival , beautiful rooms and wonderful aircon . Such a friendly vibe here and well kept. Breakfast is incredible . Beds and pillows are so comfy . Our favorite hotel in Kalamaki . Free taxi from airport was a nice touch . Would highly recommend!

The room decor was quite nice, with a fresh, modern feel, and it even came with a balcony. Upon arrival on the first day, complimentary water, tea, and coffee were provided. With a swimming pool and a gym available, you won't get bored even if you decide to stay on-site. The hotel breakfast was also pretty good. There's a great restaurant nearby called DELIGHT; their lamb and beer are absolutely delicious. They also feature live music every Wednesday and Sunday, which creates a fantastic atmosphere. The hotel is very close to the airport, so you can easily snap photos of planes landing. Kalamaki Beach and Laganas Beach are also not far, just a 30-minute walk away. However, getting to Turtle Island and the port for Shipwreck Bay can be a bit of a trek.
