Tesoro Blu Hotel & Spa - Adults Only in Skala Kefalonias

Had a fantastic experience at Tesoro Blu in Skala, Greece. Marina gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had — truly relaxing and professional. The spa is peaceful and beautifully run. Highly recommend if you're visiting!

From first arrival where we were greeted at the entrance steps to the heartfelt good byes from the service team the entire stay experience was fantastic. The hotel is located to the south of the beautiful island of Kefalonia, a few minutes walk from the traditional town of Skala. The hotel has clearly been built for purpose and delivers impeccably on all levels of facilities and service. The infinity pool with un-interrupted views of ionian sea and mountain tops of neighbouring islands allows for relaxation is large enough for length swimming. For those that don’t use the pool for exercise or like a hot tub temperature/style pool they have this adjacent to the main pool. Clean and modern gym facilities with air conditioning. The air conditioned rooms are modern and spacious with plenty of wardrobe drawer and hanging space. The cleaning could not be faulted and the views from the balcony were amazing. The rooms also have a fridge for keeping essentials cool. A all areas of the hotel are catered for with plenty of space, so no waiting for tables at breakfast or dinner or competing for seating at the bar. The hotel has a lovely calm ambience in all areas. A good variety of evening entertainment is available, or the local town a few minutes away can provide if you decide to venture out. The service team are outstanding, no request is a problem, and they will take the time to notice your preferences and ensure they are met without asking. 10/10 Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing place to stay.

This hotel is very modern its fairly new and the staff are excellent. A lovely welcoming drink when we arrived and our cases were taken straight to our rooms whilst we checked in. Please note the Greek Sales Tax was added as we checked out which was different to the norm when it was requested upon arrival at other hotels. The pool is 8 feet deep and quite cold. Lovely clean modern sunbeds and plenty of umbrellas but no mad dash to the pool each morning to reserve sun beds there are plenty to go round. You will need a sun hat the sun is very hot and there is an abundance of wasps around the breakfast area and around the pool. I know of 2 people who were stung whilst we were there. It was a shame but it was unusual. Air con in the bedrooms as well as a safe and lots of nice extras in the room such as dental kit shower cap and slippers and a bath robe. We really enjoyed our stay here the food was good the staff were all lovely and the hotel is very very close to the beach. Word of warning the transfer to this hotel is at least one and a half hours so you have been warned.

Lovely hotel, from the cooling welcome drink and buggy transfer to your spacious, well equipped room to the large, deep pool. Staff were extremely friendly and approachable and answered any query. We didn’t find the ‘rules’ to be a problem, standard really. We would buy water from the supermarket and store it in the room fridge and fill our chilly bottles to use by the pool with no problem. On the days we stayed by the pool, it was refreshing only to have low level music playing at the bar area, it was so peaceful. Towels are readily available from the lifeguard’s hut. Useful point, if ordering a club sandwich at the hotel for lunch, it’s enough for two! Very generous portions. The nearest beach area is a left turn out of the hotel and a couple of minutes walk. The small beach is shingled, so beach shoes needed for the sea. The price for two beds and a parasol is €10 and the lovely gentleman from the Waves snack bar opposite makes a regular, unobtrusive walk along to take drink/ food orders if needed. If you walk towards Skala, the beach widens and so do the bed prices! The walk to the centre of Skala takes about 20 minutes and a taxi back is €7 from the easily found rank. Great restaurant choices in this small resort and all the staff are so friendly.

Sun beds are usually available around a large swimming pool.
Breakfast could be improved.
Staff is nice and professional.

Lovely modern quiet hotel Probably our 10th visit to Skala but first at this hotel. Lovely, quiet rooms with fabulously powerful showers and comfortable large beds, frequent changes of white fluffy towels and bed linens. All we could hear in the mornings was the occasional bleat of the goats wandering around on the neighbouring sites. All staff are lovely, especially housekeeping, the guys who drive the golf carts and bar staff. Good selection at breakfast including omelette bar (we only had B&B so can’t comment on other food offerings but lunches at pool bar looked very nice) Bar prices reasonable, daily happy hour cocktails, large bottle of water round the pool is 2€. It’s a bit of a step to Skala centre but a nice walk along the front. Nearby Waves bar, Sugaro Pastry shop (& home made icecream) and Nautilus fish restaurant are all favourites anyway so a bit closer to them was a bonus. Fabulous deep tissue massage from the on-site masseuse. A few very minor points - there are a lot of rules and the welcome drinks and many signs make this very clear. The rules are actually fine, and common to many hotels - only food & drink bought at the hotel can be consumed around the pool, don’t take the pool towels off site, only one pool towel per person etc - it was the emphasis on these up front and with large signs everywhere rather than quietly dealing with transgressions that felt very negative. Some of the rooms face directly into other rooms ie the balconies face each other, which made sitting on the balcony feel awkward. Not sure how to tell which room to request other than a sea view room. Would definitely return

We had a fabulous holiday - just perfect! As returning guests everything was just as I remembered from 2021 ... immaculate! All the hotel staff are lovely but a special thank you must go to Costas who looked after us so well throughout our stay which we really appreciated and will never forget. Thank you Tesoro Blu for an amazing holiday!

Without doubt the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in or visited. The hotel really is stunning, with equally impressive views of the sea and high quality amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is exceptionally well maintained throughout. The pool area is a good size with plenty of beds for guests. A pool towel service is available next to the pool bar which overlooks the beach front giving stunning views at sunset. The pool area is incredibly quiet and relaxing and a lifeguard is on duty during open times.
The hotel rooms are very well presented with a spacious bathroom and balcony.
The bed was comfortable and the daily maid service is done to a very high standard. Local tv channels are available in the room and WiFi was strong throughout the whole complex.
The hotel was incredibly peaceful which was just what we wanted, however after a few days, with the modern minimilst decor and environment, it did feel the place lacked any sort of atmosphere or Greek culture.
The breakfast was very good with a wide range of cooked and cold foods as well as catering for gluten free needs, which is an excellent feature.
We eat lunch on several occasions and again the food was very good with a variety of small or larger meal options available.
If you're looking for a very quiet and peaceful holiday then this is ideal. We did enjoy our stay, but the atmosphere really was lacking and guests really did keep themselves to themselves.

We had a very nice experience at this superb hotel with its infinity swimming pool and peaceful surroundings during our two weeks stay.

Spotless clean and quiet with kind, attentive and professional staff except one or two totally indifferent people, which is surprising in such a high standard place.

To be noted: the cleaning team is a valuable asset to this hotel, courteous and professional.

For breakfast, good choice of salty and sweet foods with tasty surprises sometimes like mini-skewers of tomatoes and cheese, cucumber with smoked salmon. No fresh fruit juices but available from a machine.

We had diner at the hotel restaurant many times because we particularly enjoyed the welcoming attitude of the team and the cooking.

We thoroughly enjoyed this adults only hotel. The infinity swimming pool is the best on the island imo. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there is an omelette chef. Dinner and lunches were very tasty too. The staff were all incredible. The room was modern and more than enough for the 2 of us. Air conditioning and a balcony.
