Zante Maris Hotel & Spa - Adults Only in Tsilivi-Planos

Maristefi is a very friendly woman, and we talked a lot. She is very kind and beautiful, and I had a great time there — she brought a big smile to my face every time I had also a facial massage with Areti and she did it so gently and softly that you could almost fall asleep. She was also very kind and I can definitely recommend her. I had a face massage with Dora and I really enjoyed it. She was very kind and explained well what products she was using.

The bedrooms are very basic . The pool could be improved with the layout and colour of tiles . Getting a sun lounger is a joke , with people putting out towels at 6am . Complained but hotel said they’ve tried everything to stop it. Hotel in a beautiful position for beach. Beach bar and service excellent. Hotel food good with plenty of choices..Hotel set in a nice bustling village . The staff in the hotel are exceptional..I wouldn’t return as it was too busy for me, but I still had a good time.

Arrived on 31st August 2025 to this lovely place! Met at the entrance by Chris, who wheeled our suitcases in and we were asked to take a seat, given a cold drink then checked in by the lovely reception staff. Chris then took us to our room 374. Room was classed as an inland view but was a pool and side seaview. We also overlooked the outdoor seating for the restaurant. The room was ok. Would I class it as 5 star no but definitely 4. It looked a bit tired and not enough draw space just 2 drawers inside the wardrobe. There is nowhere in the shower to put shower gel, soap, shampoo etc except a tiny little alcove which wouldn't even fit a sponge . The mini bar is re-filled each day as is the tea, coffee, and bottled water. We only had tiny cups on our tea tray but a call to reception and 2 mugs delivered within 10 minutes! Beds and pillows really comfy. The beach is lovely. You could always get a sunbed but if you have a favourite you would need to get down a little earlier. It's such a shame they don't have umbrellas round the pool. There were always beds available but I think more people would use the pool if this was implemented. The food and drink were excellent! Breakfast was really good and I'm really missing the greek yoghurt with cherries! The buffet had everything you could think of but a word of warning the omelette are HUGE x We alternated between the restaurant and beach house for lunch again, excellent. The buffet for dinner was some of the best we've had on an all inclusive. I am a really fussy eater but could put a meal together no problem. The drinks again excellent! I particularly enjoyed the frozen passionfruit daquris! The evening entertainment was OK. Not brilliant some acts better than others! Also, the outside seating needs to be bigger. Some nights it was standing room only! And the chairs are really uncomfortable. Now for the best bit of the hotel, THE STAFF, absolutely amazing! All of them couldn't do enough, and they all work tirelessly but special shout out to the following. Achiles, the barman who patrolled the beach all day from 10 am, taking drink orders. He was so nice. The first drink of the day we didn't have to order, he just brought 2 tropical coolers to our sunbeds and about 2pm a sparking virgin mocktail! You could certainly tell when it was his day off! Loved him! Thanasis the barman in the lounge bar of an evening again brilliant! He was bringing replenished drinks before we had finished. They are both a credit to the hotel as are all the staff. So to summarise, would we return ABSOLUTELY! Zante isn't our favourite Greek island, but I would return just to stay at the Tui Blue Zante Maris!

It’s a long one but I have tried to split it up if you’re looking for something specific! Stayed at this hotel 2nd-9th July, just got back this afternoon and really didn’t want to leave! It was such a lovely hotel and everyone who works there is so professional and friendly and attentive. Room: Our room was room 348, we had a balcony that looked out onto a grass field opposite the hotel, at first I was a bit disappointed because it didn’t feel like the best view, but I grew to love it, the field made it seem so peaceful and also gave a good sense of privacy on the balcony, unlike the rooms with pool view, which many of those balconies can be seen from the outdoor seating at the restaurant and of course from the pool, the beachfront rooms look like they’re the best option because the beach is beautiful but overall I was actually very pleased with our balcony view. No one could see into our balcony and the field was actually quite pretty, it was also quiet during the day and at night. The room comes with a complimentary mini bar restocked everyday with 2x cans of 4 different fizzy drinks, complimentary bottles of water (they are 1.5l bottles so unfortunately don’t fit in the fridge) also restocked daily, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, a safe, and coffee/tea making facilities. Also a little pack in the bathroom with cotton buds, cotton pads, a nail file and a little hairband. The bed is comfy, the pillows were nice and soft, the room was spacious, there was a decent sized mirror in the room and a large landscape mirror in the bathroom. The bathroom had a rainfall wet room type shower, which was lovely, 2 sinks and a toilet. All very nice in the bathroom. The tv in the room has about 3 English channels all of which are news channels, it does have YouTube as an app on the tv, however it was quite temperamental. It was good when it worked but quite often it wouldn’t load up the app, or the video would freeze and the app would crash. My one negative about the room is that the balcony chairs are very uncomfortable and have no cushions, we took the spare cushions off the bed and sofa to put on the chairs, because without cushions they are very uncomfortable and leave line indents in your legs and back. The private section of beach was amazing; super clean, the sea is crystal clear, you can see the bottom no matter how far out you go! The water is so lovely and you float really easily, it also is shallow in most places (up to my shoulders when I’m standing and I’m 5’5) and deeper in some areas where I could t touch the floor. There were plenty of sunloungers available everyday. All of the loungers on the beach are padded and super comfy and have an umbrella between 2 beds. The beach bar staff come round and take drinks orders from your beach sunloungers fairly frequently, and the drinks are delivered to your sun lounger and arrive quickly. Amazing staff by far the standout part of the hotel. Room clean and tidy we got swim up room, was next to hedge and road which we wasn’t expecting but was fine. Also only got the sun for about an hour a day in the shade the rest of the time but not a problem for us and didn’t really see anyone else in the water so felt like our own pool. Daily restaurant was amazing our first time all inclusive and was far better than we expected with great choice and quality. Special mention to the staff here outstanding service polite, friendly and very efficient. Our one negative was the a la carte restaurant. Food was ok but personally not as good as daily food, we could only get a 9,15 reservation and only one other table there so no atmosphere and cleaning up ready for the next day not what we was expecting. Other than that an excellent experience made by the staff in a clean tidy hotel.Not 5 star like a Uk hotel but not Uk hotel prices so not a problem!!! We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

Overall holiday was lovely. Would say it’s a 4 star rather than a 5. Would unlikely stay again mainly because of the bar situation. Will review everything in sections. 1. Rooms Pros - Rooms were a great size. Beds were really comfy. Sheets are changed every 3 days but if you want them changed earlier you can put a card on the bed to let the maids know. A/C was great never had any issues. Maid service was great they worked hard and towels were always changed by the time we returned to the room. Rooms have a TV which has 3 news channels in English but nothing else. Didn’t bother us as was never really in the room. Cons - we paid for a swim up room as had seen the pictures on the tui website of them however our swim up was not the same as the online images. We had a back room so pool was not around the main pool like pictured. It was a thin dark pool always in the shade with a hedge opposite, behind the hedge was a road and was overlooked by the hotel opposite. Was not worth the extra paid. Fridge in the room was always restocked but drinks were warm and even after playing with the settings couldn’t cool anything. 2. Bar Service Pros - Drinks are lovely Cons - drinks are great, it’s getting one that’s the issue. It’s a waiter service but not enough staff. We spent 4/7 days at the beach and only got a drink twice on each day. We went to the bar a few times to get our own drinks and the barman at the beach house gets angry and quite rude and tells you to go back to your bed and the waiter will bring it over (this can take another 30 mins). This lets the hotel down massively! We could see the waiter was busy trying to get around all guests (some more than others) and was happy to just get my own but I think the bar staff may get into trouble if people are queuing for drinks so tell you to wait for the waiter. The first two days I was so dehydrated we had to go to the shop to buy bottled water. Just let us come to the bar and get our own drinks! Seriously understaffed and pretty much the only reason I wouldn’t return to this hotel. 3. Restaurants Pros - food is amazing and lots of choice. I’m a really fussy eater and was only one day I wasn’t keen on anything in the restaurant for dinner but still managed to find a nice variety of salad so never went hungry. The restaurant staff are a credit to the hotel and work really hard ensuring you have everything you need. Cons - no cons really. If I was being picky I would say sometimes the food temperatures were a bit low. 4. Beach Pros - beach is lovely and sun beds are comfy. Cons - You have to be up super early to get a bed. First day I got down there for 7:30 and most of the beds had towels on them. Second day I was up at 6am and managed to get a bed second row from the front! Plus side to this though is you can watch sunrise. Shade is a bit of an issue. Luckily I like to be in the sun most of the day, my husband is a shade bather. Stayed at the Maris’ sister hotel TUI Blue Caravel last year for our honeymoon and we almost chose the Maris then, so we decided to try it out this year! The staff here are incredible and they always have smiles on their faces and are super welcoming and accommodating with drinks, food, and check ins. Location is much better than Caravel! Right by Tsilivi town with many good bars, restaurants and shops. We chose a generic room with a balcony which was clean, simple and aesthetically pleasing, but as we didn’t opt for a swim up, we weren’t too bothered about the room as we didn't spend much time in there. They are modern and spacious though, and everything you need from a room to get ready, shower and sleep in. The maids always ensured towels/bedding were changed daily, bed was comfy, the mini bar was restocked daily with water and soft drinks and the maids work incredibly hard keeping the rooms clean throughout the day. Hotel itself is lovely - it’s very intimate by the pool area but it was nice as everyone seemed to chat and just enjoy themselves. The hotel is kept clean and up to scratch by the incredible staff who you notice are up early sweeping, cleaning the pools etc. The beach is amazing and you can walk right down from the hotel onto it, which has plenty of sun loungers and parasols (which are not broken- some people don’t understand how to tie them around correctly). Staff come down to the beach to take drink orders which was great. I saw some people complain they waited ages for drinks, however, there is usually only 1 or 2 staff taking orders at the beach, and with the amount of people approaching them for drinks at one time, a peak time wait may be expected, but this did not bother me and it didn’t take much longer then 15ish minutes at times. Also, you could walk to the bar yourself to get a drink if you were that desperate and that should not be an issue, cut the staff some slack. Sea is clear blue and quite shallow at the start with a few stones, you can walk out for ages and it’s still within standing height. It’s beautiful. One let down is that there are no parasols by the pool which is hard in the heat, especially when the Met Office says its 36° but feels like 41° - but there are various areas around with shade which makes up for it, and if you’re up early enough, you can get the double beds by the pool which have some covers on them, but there’s only 12 of them and many people got up super early to leave towels down and some were unoccupied for a period of time. Wide range of food items within the buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My husband and I are not really one for all inclusive buffets and never have been, so we ate most of our lunches in the snack “beach house” bar which overlooks the beach. It has such a wide range of choices on the menu, such as club sandwiches, salads, pizzas, wraps, burgers, pastas, gyros, desserts… the list goes on! We visited in May 2024 and loved the zante Maris so much we booked the weekend we came back for May 2025 (1st-8th in Jacuzzi sea view room 390) The staff are the real selling point for this location. All of the bar,restaurant and reception staff are amazing but a special mention to Nicolas, Romeo,Marildo, Aris and the lovely Lina who never fails to put a smile on your face. The food is high quality and does vary night to night. The service is impeccable and there is plenty of tables inside and out. The rooms are a good size with modern interior and the view from 390 is to die for (This is defiantly the best jacuzzi room with a view of the sea and pool on the other side). All rooms were cleaned throughly every day and cleaning staff were warm and welcoming (especially Entella). The entertainment has changed so if reading reviews from 2024 season this may be outdated as we found it had certainly improved for our 2025 visit. We really enjoyed the entertainment which varied from the Dj set to a band to singers. Wednesday night with Hayley belle was particularly enjoyed by us and other guests. There is fitness classes on offer and the Tui Blue staff were always happy to help. Big shoutout to Amelia whose energy in aqua aroebics was infectious whether you are taking part or not. She also took time out to assist us in recommending other tui Blu’s she has worked at as we are looking for a new place to explore next year. I hope one day we come back to Zante Maris and if you go you certainly won’t regret it. Many people on our trip said the same and some were booking to come back while we were there!
