Lots of space for a family (ample wardrobe space, two bathrooms etc ) - Beautiful location with it being right on the beach

We loved our stay at the Arina Beach resort. After 3 weeks travelling around Europe, it was amazing to relax at an all inclusive resort. The staff were great and the food and drinks was better than we expected

I’m currently staying at the hotel and overall, I’m enjoying my time here. There are plenty of pools for kids, which is great for families, and there are also pools designated for adults only

We found the swimming pool to be a little cold, but I suspect this was just that we were late in the season. The food at this hotel is delicious, especially the Italian and Steak restaurants

There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you directly to Heraklion. All the staff are extremely friendly and caring, but a special thank you to Katerina, head of house keeping, who went above and beyond

It was the perfect way to end a fun-filled day at the park. The Disney shows made us feel like we were part of the story — everything was colorful, fun, and full of joy. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations

I had an accident on our first day which required x rays in hospital (absolutely no fault of the hotel). Katerina was at my side whilst waiting for medical care, and was waiting for me when I returned from hospital

We loved the pool but the beach was wow! Sandy and clean! Felt nice having lifeguards to watch on us

The amenities were top-notch — especially the breakfast buffet, which offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options. One of the highlights of our trip was the Cuban show in the evening

A very beautiful hotel. It is next to the beach and there is a pool where you can eat and drink whatever you want. Also it is very close to a bus station that helped a lot with public transportation

I stayed in this hotel and the vacation was beautiful. The hotel is next to the sea, the view is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is great

George an Lavrendis are the best in the Hotel, they are so polite and have a good sense of humor. Hotel has a greatlocation, just by the perfect beach. Waterpark and Heraklion are also closed

Very good position ,main street front of the beach ,frendlly personal ,nice pool and restaurant ,atmosphere is quiet and that s what i searched for ,you can acces easelly all good restaurants ,bars ,rental car points from Kokkini ,we will come again for sure

The beach next to the hotel is clean (there are enough sun loungers and umbrellas). The great advantage of the hotel is its location (a few minutes by bus to Heraklion)

A wonderful family hotel located right on the seashore, just a two-minute walk from the beach. The staff are amazing and always kind, ready to help with anything you need. The airport is only a 15-minute bus ride away

Quite generous swimming pool with few sun beds and umbrelas. About 150m walk to the beach (sand and pebbles, no sun beds to rent, you need to bring your stuff)

Close to the airport (it was a plus for us as we don't like long travels, and we could watch planes coming to landing at the beach) in a nice little village, but full of shops, tavernas, and restaurants

Simple, slightly older rooms, but fully equioed (I was just missing an electric cattle and cups), quite spacious, and always perfectly cleaned. Buffets for breakfast and dinner, something for everyone

For dinner always two types if meat + fish + some pasta and sauce. At least two side dishes, bread, very good fresh (as well as steamed/cooked) vegetables and salads, fruits and two kinds of desserts

Otherwise always good selection of cheeses and hams, eggs in some form, breads, pastries, and of course fantastic yoghurs and frest fruit. Also vegetables and cereals with milk

From the first welcome, greeted off the coach, to the final goodbye, the family run apartments made for a wonderful holiday. The rooms were clean, tidy and modern. The pool area was, again, all three

It's so close to the beach, maybe a 5 minute walk, and they have a really nice swimming pool as well if you don't want to go to the beach. Could not recommend this place more! Absolutely amazing all around

Was quiet in May so lots of room around the nice pool. Attached restaurant bar was welcome and did great food too. Beds were on the firm side, but personal preference and all that!

The food, available all day in the complex restaurant, was of amazing quality (and quantity!) and exceptionally good value! My particular favourite was the seafood linguine

Great hotel with very friendly staff. It's a family run business and has all you need. For a 2 star hotel it's not to bad, a pool, restaurant. Food is lovely.

My sister and I went backpacking across Europe and made a stop in Crete for a few days. This hotel was the best we have stayed in, the rooms are giant, the beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious

What an amazing hotel! Staff were so friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble! Small, friendly hotel, clean, food amazing, pool area small but never a rush for sunbeds! If you get chance you must experience the Greek night! So much fun! Everything was just perfect! Can highly recommend!

There's a small pool in the yard, sunbeds and umbrellas are for free and you can find some place with no problem. We strongly recommend this hotel

The beach is a bit further from the hotel but if you don't mind walking, you can get there in a few minutes

I am very thankful for the staff for this comfort 🙂 By the way the staff is always smiling and it is a very good point! As a French people they try to talk in French and so it creates very unique conversations with them! When we have a question or else they’re always here to help us! The only bad point is that sometimes we do not have the time to finish our plate that the waiters already take those...

There were plenty of options to choose, they offered even Cretan specialities which we liked. You can also have lunch in the hotel restaurant or sit in the terrace in the evening and enjoy beer or wine

Super clean everywhere, the room was cleaned daily, we also got clean towels every day. The rooms are air conditioned. They have delicious food - we had breakfasts and dinners

We had a superior double sea front with shared private pool and we could not fault anything about it. We even had the delightful Marina bringing us drinks all day around the pool, she was a delight

A very beautiful space! The hotel is next to the beach and the pool is less than a minute walk from the room. The best place to relax!!

The hotel is impeccably maintained and exudes a sense of cleanliness and order. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the view from the sea-view rooms, which can only be described as magical

I feel this sign needs to be bigger/a lot clearer, and maybe even repeated further down the path. We got to reception, checked in and then were walked back to our building and room. 10 which has a sea view balcony

There is a small (A4 paper size) sign on a box that we walked past saying check-ins need to go to shotels sunset beach, with a small map, but I only noticed this as we were being walked back up the path

We were dropped off by a transfer bus outside a sign that says shotels almare beach

The area is quite windy, and the descent to the sea is somewhat challenging, though the coast itself is clean and sandy. Also, it’s wise to come prepared with mosquito repellent

We stayed in a suite with sea view, which was beautiful and spacious, and included a beach cabana, which is convenient when travelling with an infant to avoid sun exposure while playing at the beach

And finally, all of the staff (receptionists, waitresses, cleaners…) were so kind, attentive, and accommodating, and they made us feel welcome and safe

Amazing stay, with my family of 4. Beautiful and quaint hotel, as close to the beach as you can get. We had a gorgeous suite with a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The breakfast was a lovely spread

The hotel area is beautiful and quiet, and the breakfast and dinner were excellent with a variety of local dishes in addition to more generic choices

The bus (coach) is super easy to get and comes about every 20 mins/half hour, its 4 euros to Heraklion when we went ☺️ The staff were so welcoming, George on reception was super helpful when we arrived (we got delayed), Joanna and George on the bar were so lovely and friendly, they really made for a great stay!! ❤️ The restaurants were really good as well, we went to In&Out, Ambrosia and Paximadi...

and at the same time all the amenities you'd want in a hotel, like changing linens, pool, and varied and delicious breakfast buffet

Turning right out the hotel, the main road is about a 15-20 minute walk away, there's an amazing little bakery just on the left when you get to the main road, and the bus stop is on the right! There were some reviews which mentioned a hill, the road towards the main road is relatively flat, but just before the main road there is about 10 seconds up a steeper bit (were mid 20s so that could change...

If youre driving its so easy and accessible, if youre happy walking to the bus stop then its also fantastic! We met some great people, had an amazing time and would recommend Crete and this hotel to anyone!! ❤️

If you carry on down that road to an abandoned building and go left, right to the end and go right on the main road, there's a plethora of more shops and restaurants (and a bigger supermarket)

Just a suggestion to management… might be a good idea to move the orange juicer so it’s not causing congestion around tea/coffee machine. Cannot wait to come again next year xx

Pool always clean and Maintained. If you're looking for a chilled laid back Holliday I wouldn't hesitate to book

We were made so welcome by the owners george and stella , they made our holiday a very enjoyable experience they are a very easy going couple. Had some lovely home cooked food , hes a good chef ! moussaka was amazing

5 min walk to the beach , and lots of food options locally. this is a gem of a place and i cant wait to return next year. missing you guys Anna / kevin

Fantastic value for money we would definitely return to Olga should we return to the area. We found Gournes/ Kokkini Hani a little quiet but likely different in high season. I recommend 100% Yammas Georgios

The room was large but not without the usual Greek plumbing issues easily resolvable with a little imagination and adaptation. Pool and bar area is nice enough and the bus stop is literally right outside

  Complex is very close to the beach, a mere 5 minute walk, with lots of amazing restaurants on the beach front or shops for your souvenirs

This is a small family run hotel convenient to the airport and Iraklion city. (Buses run to from airport every 20 minutes, cost €2. The area is OK with a variety of tavernas etc and small beaches

The pool area was clean and in September there were always loungers available. The nearest small beach is about 40m away. Our room was comfortable with a refrigerator and kettle

It has a very nice pool area, the rooms are well appointed and almost all have a side sea view

The breakfasts have a good choice of dishes and can be taken inside or outside by the pool, there is a bar using the same facility. The hotel is spread over 3 floors all serviced by a lift

The Dimitra Hotel is situated on the road into Kokkoni Hani down a short lane. It is about a one minute walk to a lovely small beach and a five minute walk to the village centre

My friend and I stayed here for volunteering and following the promise of “basic accommodation” we were very impressed to have a pool, balcony, sea view, comfy beds and spacious room

Great location (beaches are couple hundreds meters away left and right), secluded, away from crowds. Whole ambient is cozy and peaceful. Jenny and the staff were very pleasant and helpful

Only remark is a unstable wifi, not that i needed it much, but is a must in this time and age. To summarize, it was a enjoyable holiday at Kri Kri, we rested well, and are sure to visit again

The pool at Pelamare is good but you don't even need it because the departments are only 20m away from the sea, so you can jump into it every morning before breakfast

Really like it, peace and quiet and clean. Location is a few steps to the beach and a host is a good person. Plenty of shops around and bus stop to Heraklion is 2 minutes away. It also has nice places for a coffee

We had breakfast and dinner (buffet) at the about 400 meters away Zorbas Island Hotel. Despite the little walk every morning and evening it payed off because the personal is very friendly and the food is good

We had breakfast and dinner at the 400m away Zorbas Island area which payed of despite of the walking. The apartments are directly at the ocean, so you can jump in before breakfast. Very nice experience.
