Where to stay with kids in Kokkini Khanion

It was the perfect way to end a fun-filled day at the park. The Disney shows made us feel like we were part of the story — everything was colorful, fun, and full of joy. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations

The level of service and comfort made my stay truly memorable. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family!

The amenities were top-notch — especially the breakfast buffet, which offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options. One of the highlights of our trip was the Cuban show in the evening

We didnt try the restaurants and stuck with Buffet which a wide range and variety of dishes - even Chinese! The cakes and desserts were exemplary! Drinks wise kids were happy with sodas and we drank the Minoan Era lager which we really liked

We came in April and it majority of facilities as to WHY we chose this hotel are closed and not available - play area for kids, indoor pool closed due to construction

Shout out to Manos the lifeguard who was so friendly and chatty with our kids when they were in the slides in the waterpark ❤️ The food was your classic AI buffet (daily salads, bread, cheese, meats, pizza, pasta, some themed dishes) and we all found something to eat and nobody had any stomach issues (except me being bloated from all the naughty choices I made!!)

There are 5 swimming pools, including a mini waterpark for children, making the resort perfect for families, fully reflecting the SOL by Meliá brand standards

As in many parts of the island, toilet paper cannot be flushed in the WC. Finally, we would like to sincerely thank Ms. Fani from the Guest Experience Team, who made us feel like part of the family

The resort also offers mini golf, a bocce court, table football, table tennis, a games room and an entertainment program with activities for both adults and children scheduled throughout the day

We stayed in a spacious bungalow, perfect for a family of four, with a nice outdoor area as well. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom featured a modern new shower

Lovely hotel,fantastic staff john is a lovely entertainer, only thing we found is not much english food too much French. Rooms cleaned daily, clean hotel and pool

The only small downside is that the indoor pool, open during the colder months, is unfortunately not heated

Pool not so big but nice beaches walking distance which you have to pay for sunbeds. Bus stop to any city 10 min walk and trust me everyone is very nice and willing to help

The hotel has been partially updated and is generally clean, however the upgrade has been done to general areas around pool and partial in rooms so photos do not reflect the full hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful

The room was cleaned regularly and fresh towels were provided every other day. ▪️The pool was clean and there was plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. They also allow inflatables which is great for the children

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel So we will start with the positives first ▪️upon arrival at around 10:30pm we were greeted by a helpful man on reception who checked us in quickly and offered us food for us and our 3 children

These were delicious and what we pretty much lived on (see negatives) ▪️we found the location to be close to the beach which was handy with 3 children

▪️The room we found to be clean with good air-conditioning and nice shower facilities, yes the kitchen area is a little dated however serves the purpose with a good sized fridge for our water

just back after a 2 week family holiday for 12 7 adults 4 kids and a baby the hotel is at best 3 stars but very clean the food for me was awful so ate out every day the kids loved the pool and most of the staff are very helpful and friendly the man that does the excursions was extremely helpful and if you need to hire a car speak to him he is cheap and does all the hard work for you entertainment...

They really are the heart of the hotel. The hotel has two large pools with plenty of sunbeds, and best of all, there was no need to rush down in the morning to reserve one

We also hired a car for a week (€315), and it was brilliant – hassle-free, no push for extra insurance, and a great way to see the island, which is huge. Highly recommend getting a car if you want to explore properly

No matter what time we went, beds were available, which made things much more relaxing. There could be a few more umbrellas, but you can easily pick one up from the mini market on site if needed

The food was the only real let-down. While there was variety, it would be nice to have some more simple options. It’s not terrible, but it is the one area where the hotel could really improve

The hotel itself is a little secluded from the main resorts and shops, but everything is still walkable, and there’s a free shuttle to the beach three times a day which is very handy

Through my travel agency business I politely asked for upgraded rooms and we were not disappointed. We were given 3 rooms at the front of the pool, which were without a doubt the best rooms in the hotel

The facilities for children were incredible, especially the waterpark, which was a huge highlight for our family

Food and drinks were consistently fresh and enjoyable, with plenty of choice, and the cocktails were excellent. Everything felt well organised and family-friendly

Before arrival, I requested that our rooms be next to each other, and the hotel delivered perfectly, all our rooms were together at the front of the pool

I had the Cretan massage with my mum. I had Jessie and she had Albora. Both of them did an absoloutely amazing job. It was very relaxing and they focused on all the body. We both had an amazing experience.

We loved our stay at the Arina Beach resort. After 3 weeks travelling around Europe, it was amazing to relax at an all inclusive resort. The staff were great and the food and drinks was better than we expected

He is amazing along with Alex on the bakery (lovely man), Aspa, Kathryn, and all the waitresses and waiters that can’t do enough for you. The Avra, restaurant has improved and is incredibly good

Good location right on the beach, pool ok but very cold water, the sea was warmer I think… Busstop just a step away on the mainstreet that takes you straight to Heraklion or if u like to Agios Nikolaus

Very nice resort with modern designed rooms and nice beach, the pools are also beautiful. The resort looks amazing in the evening time with lightening. The garden is well kept and beautiful

A very beautiful hotel. It is next to the beach and there is a pool where you can eat and drink whatever you want. Also it is very close to a bus station that helped a lot with public transportation

A wonderful family hotel located right on the seashore, just a two-minute walk from the beach. The staff are amazing and always kind, ready to help with anything you need. The airport is only a 15-minute bus ride away

Quite generous swimming pool with few sun beds and umbrelas. About 150m walk to the beach (sand and pebbles, no sun beds to rent, you need to bring your stuff)

Close to the airport (it was a plus for us as we don't like long travels, and we could watch planes coming to landing at the beach) in a nice little village, but full of shops, tavernas, and restaurants

Simple, slightly older rooms, but fully equioed (I was just missing an electric cattle and cups), quite spacious, and always perfectly cleaned. Buffets for breakfast and dinner, something for everyone

For dinner always two types if meat + fish + some pasta and sauce. At least two side dishes, bread, very good fresh (as well as steamed/cooked) vegetables and salads, fruits and two kinds of desserts

Otherwise always good selection of cheeses and hams, eggs in some form, breads, pastries, and of course fantastic yoghurs and frest fruit. Also vegetables and cereals with milk

Was quiet in May so lots of room around the nice pool. Attached restaurant bar was welcome and did great food too. Beds were on the firm side, but personal preference and all that!

My sister and I went backpacking across Europe and made a stop in Crete for a few days. This hotel was the best we have stayed in, the rooms are giant, the beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious

I am very thankful for the staff for this comfort 🙂 By the way the staff is always smiling and it is a very good point! As a French people they try to talk in French and so it creates very unique conversations with them! When we have a question or else they’re always here to help us! The only bad point is that sometimes we do not have the time to finish our plate that the waiters already take those...

Everything was very good! The rooms was clean, the fact that every afternoon, when we come back from the day, our bed is made and the room are always clean

The location is perfect, the beach is 5 meters away from a gorgeous small sandy beach with crystal clear water, the rooms are spacious and they clean and change towels every day! It is quite and relaxing atmosphere with the best breakfast that is from 8-11 so you can wake up early or just sleep more and go to enjoy the awesome pancakes on with sea views right next to you!

Hi everyone, First of all I would like to recommend Coralli Beach hotel for people and professionalism they use to work, and congrats for this as well! A clean hotel, with a variety of breakfast dishes, suit's etc Think that you are near by the beach ⛱️ , you have good restaurants next to the hotel

Rooms are extremely big with a nice terrace. The hotel has its own beach, and a lot of sun beds next to a swimming pool. The hotel is pets friendly so you can come with your dog 😊

P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N: This hotel is everything you are looking for. The rooms a spacious, super-clean, and have all that you need. The swimming pool is clean and our 3 young children loved playing there

If you go left from Coralli there is a bigger beach that is free, too. If you wish you can also use the inside pool to chill out

A very beautiful space! The hotel is next to the beach and the pool is less than a minute walk from the room. The best place to relax!!

The coffee and juice machines were not turn on, only the basic things (bread, cheese, salami, tomato salads, cucumbers and spreads). The famous Greek cheese was brought out a few minutes before 8am

and the information was that breakfast is from 7:30am. you should take into account that there are groups of people who go on excursions and who leave the hotel earlier

I have to write a negative comment and it is related to the breakfast/kitchen of the restaurant. Today I came to the restaurant at 7:35am

We walked down a path towards the building but couldn't see a reception area and I had no instructions about what to do so then I had to call a number who then called the hotel and sent someone round to us

There is a small (A4 paper size) sign on a box that we walked past saying check-ins need to go to shotels sunset beach, with a small map, but I only noticed this as we were being walked back up the path

The hotel is in a great location, 19 minutes from the airport. The bathroom was small for our family of four. The buffet restaurant was average, and the food was pretty much the same every day

And finally, all of the staff (receptionists, waitresses, cleaners…) were so kind, attentive, and accommodating, and they made us feel welcome and safe

The hotel area is beautiful and quiet, and the breakfast and dinner were excellent with a variety of local dishes in addition to more generic choices

The bus (coach) is super easy to get and comes about every 20 mins/half hour, its 4 euros to Heraklion when we went ☺️ The staff were so welcoming, George on reception was super helpful when we arrived (we got delayed), Joanna and George on the bar were so lovely and friendly, they really made for a great stay!! ❤️ The restaurants were really good as well, we went to In&Out, Ambrosia and Paximadi...

Turning right out the hotel, the main road is about a 15-20 minute walk away, there's an amazing little bakery just on the left when you get to the main road, and the bus stop is on the right! There were some reviews which mentioned a hill, the road towards the main road is relatively flat, but just before the main road there is about 10 seconds up a steeper bit (were mid 20s so that could change...

If youre driving its so easy and accessible, if youre happy walking to the bus stop then its also fantastic! We met some great people, had an amazing time and would recommend Crete and this hotel to anyone!! ❤️

If you carry on down that road to an abandoned building and go left, right to the end and go right on the main road, there's a plethora of more shops and restaurants (and a bigger supermarket)

This was my second visit to golden bay apartments and I was not disappointed. The staff were amazing as usual, George and Joanna so warm and welcoming

Georgios was an excellent host and couldn`t conceivably have done more to accommodate us - indeed he got his children to sing Happy Birthday to me! The property is in Gournes rather than Kokkini Hani which provides different options but expect a 25 minute walk to Kokkini Hani centre

We  booked the apartment for the Monday but due to late flights we didnt arrive until nearly 3am Tuesday morning,  the Travel Agent, equipped with all our travel info, couldnt communicate to Giorgos our arrival time for some odd  reason , (something they need to fix) which meant he sat up all night to make sure we arrived safely and still managed to have a massive smile and warm greeting regardless...

The room was large but not without the usual Greek plumbing issues easily resolvable with a little imagination and adaptation. Pool and bar area is nice enough and the bus stop is literally right outside

We stayed at the Olga studios for 11 nights half board Giorgos and Stella are the most amazing hosts , friendly, family orientated and couldn’t do enough for us, by the time we left we felt like family

The food was amazing as good as you can get in any restaurant you could go to in the town. Our teenagers were made to feel welcome and love the family atmosphere

The rooms are very comfortable , stylish and well decorated. The pool and bar area is so relaxing with comfortable loungers and sun shades

This is a small family run hotel convenient to the airport and Iraklion city. (Buses run to from airport every 20 minutes, cost €2. The area is OK with a variety of tavernas etc and small beaches

The breakfasts have a good choice of dishes and can be taken inside or outside by the pool, there is a bar using the same facility. The hotel is spread over 3 floors all serviced by a lift

The pool area was clean and in September there were always loungers available. The nearest small beach is about 40m away. Our room was comfortable with a refrigerator and kettle

It has a very nice pool area, the rooms are well appointed and almost all have a side sea view

We stayed 3 days before moving to our next resort. Reception, restaurant and cleaning staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially if you made the effort to speak a few words of Greek such as kalimera etc

The room was very clean, with fridge & tea making facilities. The beds were soft & comfortable. Have read other reviews about no hot water, but this wasn’t the case, there was plenty of hot water every day

And the people, such warm hospitality from Jenny and her family, and of course I can not forget the dogs, Molly and Sarah that welcomed us and send us on our way everyday with pets and hugs

I spent one week at KriKri with my family last year and it was one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations I have had in a while! The atmosphere is relaxing, the rooms clean and very spacious, and the area even though it doesn’t have many things to do, offered such a calming and comfortable place to spend our vacation

Great location (beaches are couple hundreds meters away left and right), secluded, away from crowds. Whole ambient is cozy and peaceful. Jenny and the staff were very pleasant and helpful

The pool at Pelamare is good but you don't even need it because the departments are only 20m away from the sea, so you can jump into it every morning before breakfast

We had breakfast and dinner (buffet) at the about 400 meters away Zorbas Island Hotel. Despite the little walk every morning and evening it payed off because the personal is very friendly and the food is good

We had breakfast and dinner at the 400m away Zorbas Island area which payed of despite of the walking. The apartments are directly at the ocean, so you can jump in before breakfast. Very nice experience.
