Sunset Beach Hotel in Kokkini Khanion

A very beautiful hotel. It is next to the beach and there is a pool where you can eat and drink whatever you want. Also it is very close to a bus station that helped a lot with public transportation

Great location by the water

I stayed in this hotel and the vacation was beautiful. The hotel is next to the sea, the view is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is great. For breakfast and dinner we had a buffet with a large selection of dishes and every day something new, very good and tasty food. Greek cuisine is great and very tasty. I made new friends Vicky and Levrentis who work at the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel and will gladly come again.

We arrived late . We were given room 1. Expect some noise as this is next to reception and you'll here people coming and going. Room was comfortable with air con and small balcony to sit on. The lovely wonderful Penelope has made this trip for us she is always smiling and funny. A mention for Maria too who is so sweet. I think the manager/owner could be more friendly and engage with his hotel guests more.

We really enjoyed staying here. The views are amazing and it was great being so close to the sea, literally just down the steps. It was 30 degrees plus when we were there so it's a relief to have the sea breeze and to be able to cool off in the waves. It's quite windy at the moment so we found the sea isn't flat enough for paddleboarding unless you like the waves. The staff are lovely and friendly.
We loved the cats that visit the hotel, they made our daughters holiday. I didn't realise how many stray cats there are in Crete and if you are an animal lover it does pull at your heart strings a bit, but the locals do put food out for them.
At the hotel, there is plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner and the mousaka and Greek salad was good.
There is a cove that is good for snorkelling about 3 minutes walk from the hotel where you can see many types of fish amongst the rocks.
Heraklion is well worth a visit, only 20 minutes by bus. The harbour is beautiful. We also visited the natural history museum there which was good. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

George an Lavrendis are the best in the Hotel, they are so polite and have a good sense of humor. Hotel has a greatlocation, just by the perfect beach. We will n back definitely. Waterpark and Heraklion are also closed. The food is good, the room tidiness also great.

Very good position ,main street front of the beach ,frendlly personal ,nice pool and restaurant ,atmosphere is quiet and that s what i searched for ,you can acces easelly all good restaurants ,bars ,rental car points from Kokkini ,we will come again for sure

Extraordinary experience! The staff and the people of Crete are top tier! And the food, absolutely no words. The view its the cherry on top of the cake. Thank you! Will returne for sure.

I highly recommend Shotels Sunset Beach Hotel! The hotel is well maintained and modern. The staff is very nice. The rooms are large and clean. The food is varied and fresh every day. The beach next to the hotel is clean (there are enough sun loungers and umbrellas). The great advantage of the hotel is its location (a few minutes by bus to Heraklion). If I plan a holiday in Crete again, I will certainly choose this hotel again. Greetings from Poland!
